I understand your opinion. Modal music does not go down easy. But this is not the hardest of them. There's lot of liricism and you can hear with your soul instead of looking for the melody. Easier said than done but you'll thank me later 😅

Great combination of 2 very different players - Vengerov's light sweetness and Bashmet's darker sonorities make for a very interesting and engaging dialogue, far more depth and range than usually associated with this music . Seems to sound like a foreshadowing of Beethoven and beyond. Thanks for uploading!

It is true that Bashmet was the dedicatee of this concerto, but he made grossly indulgent interpretive choices. É uma obra gigantesca. Escrita por um jovem de 23 anos. Muito densa para a juventude de Mozart e que surpreende pela dramaticidade. Vai demorar alguns anos para ele compor peças à altura da K364. Os dois solistas são impecáveis. Qual orquestra está tocando?

Suono con sordina bellissimo di una grande violista e una delle (poche) migliori esecuzioni di questo geniale e struggente brano scritto in memoria di Onnou, fondatore del Pro Arte Quartet , scomparso a soli 46 anni nel 1940.

Musically this is the best performance of the Sinfonia Concertante on KZfaq and unlike many performances the two soloists interact with each other instead of just playing side by side. Unfortunately the KZfaq channel flashes distracting SUBSCRIBE banners every couple of minutes, a self-defeating strategy which makes viewers less likely to watch a channel that interferes with the music.

This is Tibor Serly's completion of Bartok's unfinished final masterpiece. This should have been listed since there are several completions available. I think Serly's is the best.

@@DAOULSORTES Да, почти все "современные", "передовые" композиторы слышат то, чего мы не слышим и главное в этом они улавливают порядок, гармонию, настолько необычно, что действительно болезненно немного. Но в простых вещах для фильмов Шнитке совершенно в русле возможностей обычного человека. За это хорошо, ксати, на Мосфильме платили. Этакая поденщина для профессионалов, также и поэты зарабатывали, на переводах, здорово получалось, талантливо и при полном одобрении Союза Писателей. Ни в одной стране нет таких замечательных переводов мировой классики, повезло русскоязычным.
