Whenever I drink, I start to get sad and cry. Then one day I woke up and asked myself, "why do I do this to myself ". Now I can go qeeks without it.

Can they not build some type of wall/dam around the city? They need some serious engineering to save this historic city.

They are so religious and funny. You can't sanctify a bell. The only thing that can be sanctified is a person. People can sanctify themselves You can't sanctify an inanimate object. This is yet another of the many fallicies of the orthodox church. But they do it for money.

This is the most I’ve learned about this flight. I knew a little bit about the passengers. This film goes has taught me a lot more. 06:49 Ugh, and those pictures showing some of the passengers before boarding at 06:49. That one broke my heart. Especially seeing the kids who were on their way to California. This documentary found a way to humanize the passengers.

All of that is well and good where are the results of all that data? Never mentioned the seismic activity but there was data before stations were destroyed. Levels of games? The radio isotopes they were testing for? I enjoy watching these types of documentaries but I'm tires of no information from the results of all their work. Don't have to be a scientist to want curiosity satisfied. And the people settling closer to the volcano, has the government warned them? They could move to the other side of the city before getting too settled. Just a thought.

This was the time that I was a teenager, non Russian, but Eastern European. My country was able to get "rid" of communism, but actually it still exists, but more nuanced. It's a facade. It's the same in my country as it was in Russia. You needed and may still need to pay off people to get a job, etc. And in the U.S. their is a lot of burakracy but much more covered and not so in your face.

Might help if they outlaw motorized boats . Look at the wake they create. Needs to be gondolas only until they find a better way to protect structures.

Ya, if only! Mars! Where oxygen is a trace element, 0.145%, and the atmospheric pressure at the surface is equivalent to around 140,000ft on Earth! Ninety-six percent of the Martian atmosphere in carbon dioxide! Any manned mission to Mars likely will be a one-way trip! At our present state of technology, colonization of Mars is a near impossibility! Should technology advance the needed transport would be the Starship Enterprise!

Not sure why they call it sinking city.. we were there when it rained so much, sure floods everywhere during pouring rain but then the next day the sun came out and it was all dry and the water was way below the normal level.. you could literally see the moss of the building

The tides call the shots - on certain bright sunny dry days you'll find the city inundated with more than a feet of water. The city has been sinking for a long time from the days it was built using timber buried deep into the sediment . The basic premise of its construction has condemned it to its obsolescence .

37 year old, stopped drinking when I was 24, as I was approaching a psychotic breakdown from the hangovers. Was lying in bed hungover and this huge person-sized technicoloured butterfly was flapping above me, then the next hang over I was walking the suburbs and completely blanked out, like complete amnesia, didn't know who I was, what planet earth was etc, I was just standing there for a few seconds like my brain had been wiped. After that I decided I was never drinking again, scared the shit out of me and I quit smoking tobacco a week after that, as it went hand in hand with the drinking. The next 6 months I was just so much happier and so productive. During the two years after quiting when I went to the bar I experienced cravings but I would also start shouting like the drunks and being really jolly and would walk out the bar staggering... yet I was completely sober. Was bizarre. Now cravings have been non-existent or very rare and no placebo drunk vibes. The longer I don't drink the less attractive the idea of drinking becomes. Hangovers? Seriously? The only thing is your social life may go down the toilet. Its not great being sober around drunk people amd weatern society is so dead set on alcohol being thr focal point of socialising. I can highly recommend various psychedelics though 😝🤘🏻 almost zero hangovers and almost no addiction potential. You also see how drunk people don't listen and are just talking at you and how aggressive or stupid people get on alcohol.
