Great, this is perfect for the 20-acre, multi-parcel, hi-rise development in NYC that I'm coming across on a regular basis.

Most parking lots have security cameras. Rather than having a new device, would it have been better to just use that for figuring out how many cars are using parking.

How do we change the system? By uniting, organizing and building new cities from scratch. As Buckminster Fuller said: "You don't change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something you need to build a new model tham makes the old one obsolete." So to "change" the (economic) system we currently use it is more effective to build a new economic system, than it is to fight against the current one. And the most efficient way to build a new economic system is to build new cities from scratch, because it is in cities that economic systems materialize. So you want to section off a lane on highways for people who can afford to buy AV's instead of advocate for public transit like trains that could serve all, be more sustainable, and prevent thousands of deaths each year? Sounds like you want to make money, not save lives.

we first need to change zoning laws and have more non-profit developers. They should not be making 40% profits on housing which is a necessity...

Jeremy Rifkin - learn about the 3rd digital revolution. Educate yourselves because sidewalk labs is China's little brother and we will be the minions of their connected cities to the internet of everything. If you aren't just a little hesitant about what's going on behind the guise of companies like this and big tech there is no hope for any real freedom in this world. Freedom is all we have. It's already getting taken from us every single minute of each hour of each day. It's happening and it's happening at the speed of light and when our cities get taken over under the guise of good will be the collective failure of society as we know it.

WOLVES IN SHEEP"S CLOTHING ! sidewalk mesa, ESG. Humans wake up! Beware of the 3rd industrial revolution - The digital revolution whereby the internet will connect cities under the guise that mesa companies like these are producing greener cities, less pollution, healthier environments for the collective soul. Only this collective soul are the big tech companies whereby they'll have control over our - your collective soul that is manipulated and used by big tech and tesla because communications and energy are already online and when our vehicles are "powered" by the internet the internet of things and this 3rd digital revolution will be complete. Our planet and single persons "data" - data being our interests our values, our philosophies will be crudely used for the big tech co to continue to monopolize our money by changing the fabric of our society. You know Facebook et al have masterminded their technology to change how elections are run, manipulate how people vote, facebook google amazon they can hack elections...democracy is crumbling. These cities that are interconnected by the internet will use it against the people that live within these cities. You will be a "good" citizen or a "bad" citizen and the ramifications might be for the "bad" citizen won't be able to get a loan from their bank. I am relieved to say the least that sidewalk labs got shut down in Toronto. It mimics China and their big brother who monitors EVERYTHING a human does for their autocratic control over their people. This is dangerous stuff. Read. Research. Educate.

Hi. Peace be with you. Thank you for posting this playlist. I believe it covers an important subject that I've been researching, but found little conversation about. I have a question for you. Is your playlist intended to be inverted or backwards? I ask because the 1st video is called episode 20 and the last video is called episode 1. If so, I'd like to listen to this playlist in order. Would you flip the order? If not, what benefit to your message does listing them this way offer?

Will it work in Winter? IP68 tested? Exterior parking snow plowed. -40C performance = ? Fines for mobile device use while driving designed to be expensive due to increased lack of attention risk. Cost benefit challenge. Most Cities encourage public transit use. For Private parking lot operators this can be an asset. City Public Parking lots this might be never on their capex list…

OMG. <3 huge fan. Just kidding, but I'm anxious to anticipate marketing the ideas and services for improving "infrastructure." I'm still learning how to implement business innovation and practices, to be able to offer services using full advantage of the technologies and products offered for businesses to use that provides businesses with the best use of the business products. I had thought about going out in the world and market the still newly introduction of business solutions to assist local businesses what's being offered by companies that with their ingenuity made new developments.

How does Delve distinguish itself from other entries in this market, like Urban Footprint and State of Place?
@plyguy
@plyguy 3 жыл бұрын
delve is owned by the same company that spun out replica, a urban data tool with the same components as urban footprint and state of place the analyze urban value metrics, the difference seems to be related to how cities/developers can work within land restraints vs. how cities can prioritize what type of developments to build within a municipal region

I don't understand how everything is measurable like this. Not everything is quantitative when trying to find the "best" designs.
@plyguy
@plyguy 3 жыл бұрын
urban value metrics need to have some quantifiable components that can be drafted into policy, so those 10 points they covered have some numerical value that they can roughly calculate into their data points, but of course they have to rely on assumptions (e.g. smaller street, less parking, fewer cars = less congestion, safer pedestrian environment, less pollution, etc.)
