I just started the video but the savings is a big reason why I was adamant to potty train before 3. With a second on the way only using diapers for nap and bedtime is very very nice haha.

I love the kinder brand ❤ It's amazing all their products are great quality. You need to try the changing mats so helpful. I started out with the mama koala and those worked from newborn to 6 months for us. But they do run small.

I'm very interested in seeing more weeks of this diet! Also could you make a video showing which store bought products you use and where you source your meat from? I know everything is supposed to be organic, raw, and grass fed. Sometimes it's hard to find those things easily.

How was this mentally? Does knowing you're building up to more help with the restrictions?? Good luck! Glad you're already feeling better on it.
@jacqiewheeler7 күн бұрын
From other restrictive diets I've been on, this seems to be a bit easier because of knowing I'm getting to incorporate more and more foods every few days. It's easier to go "one day at a time" instead of knowing that all 18-30 days I'd be eating soup. However, I'm very weight motivated, so if I hadn't lost any weight at all, I probably wouldn't be able to continue. I wish I weren't that way, but weightloss is a huge motivator for me. The hardest thing is not having coffee... I don't necessarily mind the foods I'm eating.
@LeahWriter7 күн бұрын
Yes please. I like to know how this diet is going and what you're preparing. I need to go back to your previous video for how to make those treats. I'm the same with coffee. I don't know why I find it so comforting, but I don't drink it for the caffeine either. Have you felt hungry on this diet? Or are you getting enough fat to get you through to the next meal? These foods look pretty keto, so maybe that's reducing your hunger
@jacqiewheeler7 күн бұрын
Yeah I miss coffee for the comfort flavor so much! But I'm actually not hungry most of the time, it does feel very similar to keto! I think I'm getting so much fat I feel satiated, because I could eat a million bowls of soup if I wanted, there aren't any restrictions to how much I'm allowed to eat, but I'm always so full after only one bowl, and I don't even snack.

Yes! Keep sharing your meals! 😊 Congrats on your first week of success! Is it having the same effect on Alvin?
@jacqiewheeler7 күн бұрын
Thank you! He is only eating dinners with us since he is away at work for other meals, and he does mostly low carb at work with focusing on just meats and veggies. I'm doing this mostly for myself, and then just offer the foods I have to Alvin and Alice, but don't force them to do the protocol with me.

Did the keto diet not work?
@jacqiewheeler7 күн бұрын
It did start working with some slow weightloss, but I need deeper healing, and so decided to actually get my gut health under control instead of just a quick band aid fix. There actually is a keto gaps protocol if people need to do that (and a carnivore one too)!

Aw, Alice is so big. This was an interesting concept. I missed the first time you did this, so I'll look for that video later. Sad that both of these were awful, but it is interesting to see why two people who don't like books disliked them, if the reasons are the same or different, and why one person might love a book while the other hates it.

So are you still keeping keto? Did it not work for you?
@jacqiewheeler9 күн бұрын
The beginning stages of gaps are similar to keto, but gradually you add more carbs as your gut heals. There actually is a keto gaps option for people that need it, but I would love to get to a point where I can eat all foods without getting bloated/gaining weight. I'm really focusing on healing my gut, which weightloss should come along with that, instead of only focusing on weight.

I went on a gut healing journey… involving a lot of fermented foods, bone broths, and all the good stuff. Found out the hard way that I have histamine intolerance. Everything I was doing to make myself feel better was making me worse. 😂😢. I have no idea how to heal my gut.
@jacqiewheeler9 күн бұрын
Oh no I'm sorry! I see people doing gaps with histamine issues, they just have to start slow and make a few adjustments until their body heals.

Did you have gut issues before keto? I didn't and now after going keto for a year many years ago my gut has never been the same.
@jacqiewheeler9 күн бұрын
No, I actually had gut issues for years, and that's what made me try gluten free, paleo, keto etc. I'm finally figuring out how to get to the root cause and focusing on healing. Keto and carnivore actually helped me alot, but they didn't fix the root cause, just took away alot of my gut issues. I don't want to have to eat limited for my entire life so I want to actually fix my gut health now.

Love this for you ❤ watch out for the kombucha and the fermented things side by side. I know the kefir and kombucha side by side is a no no lol My daughter is having gut issues and we have been making raw yogurt, cheese, feta and butter and it's been helping her so much..she just took a microbiome test from Tiny Health and we are waiting for her results, might be something to check out, you can even test Alice if you wanted too check her gut health..
