I think to be fair, Hrgovic vs Dubois would have been a worthy IBF title fight, so the fact he got it, he did kinda earn it. Problem is, AJ was right behind Hrg in line for the belt, so he's the first defence.

Taking the knee against Joyce was probably the wisest decision Dubois has ever made. Like you say, imagine having a broken orbital socket and taking punches on that eye from a heavy handed heavyweight. The Usyk stoppage was harder to understand perhaps but Usyk exhausts his opponents before going in for the kill. Maybe he knew a heavy knockout was coming? He’s done very well in his recent fights. If Daniel comes forward from the get go looking for AJ it will be an interesting fight but as pointed out if he uses his face to block AJ’s punches then it’s lights out!
