How would I connect to a gmrs radio?

You don't. That's the problem if you're riding with a group where radio comms is a must. I'm looking for a system that doesn't break the bank like the Rugged Radios' $3000 system (I feel it's a huge rip-off). I currently have a GMRS radio mounted overhead above the windshield and an external speaker that is mounted just behind my head on the crossbar. I can hear it, but there's no escaping the engine and wind noise.....still looking for a solution.

If you ever took this dual sport off road you would appreciate the low 1st gear. The draw to go 75mph has never outweighed the ability to crawl and not stall for me. The last place I want to be is on the freeway with this thing being passed by semis. To each his own though. Your mods obviously fit the needs your looking for in a bike. Many of us really enjoy the stock gearing.

Got my '06 Stratoliner S, second owner, bought it with 1,800 miles, 10 years ago, from a dealership who had it on consignment. Paid $8,500, I thought it was a good deal considering it was $17,000 brand new. It's loaded with all the Star accessories that are NLA now. I've had it for 10 years now...

Yes. They have a quick disconnect on both saddlebags. No tools required.

06 Roadliner. I love my 113ci, high compression, 4 valve, hemi. And yes, I can pass anyone I want, anytime I want. And look good doing it.

Just bought an 06 Stratoliner S to restore. Sat in a guys garage for over a decade. This video is great for helping me restore it to its original beauty. Just got it roadworthy and running again. My first V-twin, the sound and feel put a huge stupid grin on my face. Saved it from the scrap yard

Nice job, looks great! Thanks for posting this, as I didn’t know if there was enough room to open the lid wide enough with the particle separator above it. How is the access to the back panel? Do you need to remove the storage box to be able to clean the air filter & check the oil or is there enough room to keep it in place? (I have a rear windshield too)

Fueron motocicletas maravillosas, tengo la fortuna de poseer una. Lamentablemente las sacaron del mercado, me quedé con las ganas de una hermosa Stryker 1300. Ojalá pronto regresen al mercado, no me gusta lo que yamaha vende en la actualidad, puro delincuente y repartidores comida usa esas motos.

@@GusBlues1006 I picked up the Sena as I have had numerous other Sena Products for my street bikes and their R1 Bike Helmets for our ebikes. I also picked up the 3M Peltor Sport with Gel Pad upgrade. I am starting this project. I was considering making a notch in the ear muff and not the gel pad as to keep the pads integrity due to the fact that the gel pad will be under more stress. While I cant make it out in your video it seems you cut the backside of the pad enough to route the wire through. Have you had any issues with the pad popping out of the muff or the pad tearing after that? Any regrets of doing that vs notching the muff?

Currently the only way to find them is buying pre-owned. A lot of companies were selling stuff a decade ago, but since Yamaha dropped the model, aftermarket dried up. I’m lucky to have loaded up my bike shortly after buying it new, since most of that is no longer available.
