Three sisters chili is actually vegetarian in real life. In some native north American cultures corn, squash and beans (a complete protein when eaten together) are the three sisters, corn is tall and allows the squash and beans to crawl up for more sunlight. The beans add nitrogen to the soil for all, and the squash trails all over, controlling weeds for all. Symbiosis in nature. Find a recipe and try some, it is delicious.

How have you done the following things: 1. Made your sim look more tired as their energy levels deplete 2. Have her get her period 3. Get pop ups like the "hero personality archetype hint"

I'm not sure about how Jesse looked 'tired'. I think it might have been the 'Slice of Life' mod by KawaiiStacie, but that mod has since been massively overhauled and I haven't tried the new version. Menstrual cycle and the personality archetypes are both from the 'Wonderful Whims' mod by Turbodriver.

Nice series! Hope to see more soon. Have you been to Sylven Glade? Hidden world location is prettiest of the 3.Travel thru a huge pretty tree. Woodcrest? I think. (Between the river and the BFF household, along a small footpath. Do prompted interactions till the door opens in the trunk.) Have done a bit of gardening, myself. Always keep a seed for every found plant, I hide em away in a travel chest to be certain they are not lost. It's a royal pain to have to start from scratch finding one....AGAIN! Also, Granite Falls, I'd bet (episode 21) , is where allergy issues began. Poison Fireleaf should not be handled if yr Sim is allergy prone. Wolfbane, Valerian root, and Plasma Fruit Trees are for crafting Occult potions/remedies n such. Plasma Fruit is Vampire food- a blood substitute. Wolfbane for Werewolves. These are separate from the herbalist brews. Just a friendly FYI. Visit a Potion Shop 4 more info/supplies. Your Sim has an iron gut, had a plasma drink and ate plasma meal with zero complaint.❤ Simmer since Sims 1, but totally missed Sims 2...somehow. Subscribed

Glad you're enjoying it so far ☺️ I'm a bit of a storyteller, so finding a way to work in having Jesse visit Sylvan Glade (especially as she lives in Henford on Bagley) is not the easiest. But if there are plants there that she doesn't have, it might be worth a look. Poor Jesse and her allergies! But I think you are right about where they began back in Granite Falls. Thanks for all the plant tips 🍄🌱 Must go back and harvest more of the plants (maybe another family holiday?). I'm on a mini quest to have one of every variety in the game before this challenge is done 🤔

@@emmsimley It makes sense, the batters are similar, flour, oil eggs etc, toppings can be similar, fruit, cream cheese, syrups etc. I would not feel out of place buying waffles in a cupcake shop.

@@emmsimley Sometimes I do, but not always. In this case, the family has a firm direction etc, so why not? And even Alecs name kind of fits because she hadn't changed her mind away from doctoring when he was born.

Love the addition of Jessie's bakery 😍 I'm definitely not an expert but a couple of things I've discovered when playing a business is restocking eats up too much profit - better off getting Jessie to bake to replace the goods. 😂 Riku's book title made me laugh... hopefully the hatchable eggs did get fixed in the last update. I know I've told you before but I really enjoy the way you are playing this challenge and yes, bathroom should definitely be the next one for renovation.

Thanks for the tips! 🙏 Going to try a couple of things to make restocking less expensive. I think there are things you can get with perk points to reduce restocking costs. I'm really glad you're still enjoying this challenge. The bathroom will be getting an update in the next episode for sure.

Personally, since not all cultures require women to change thier surname (Like Latin America). I personally find it annoying that they are required to change surnames at marriage in the game. I have gone back many times trying to change surnames back to thier original, but the game always flips them back to hubbys surname.

I honestly can't remember what the game does after marriages if you have no mods installed. MC Command Center has options to determine which surname is applied. I usually override it when playing a generational legacy challenge and want to keep the original family name I chose for the heir. Or if it doesn't make sense for a particular character who would want to keep their name.

@@emmsimley The game changes it to hubby's surname. I played Strangerville a few months back. He married a random townie named Juana. I wanted her to keep her surname. I must have tried 4-5 times, but it would always revert back to hubbies last name.

Thank you for another wholesome, fun episode. Love the cupcake shop - so cute. In the US, there are work/live places, but it's fairly uncommon. Typically you will find them in cities, where there are lofts above shops. Some of the older neighborhoods, I believe owners still live above their businesses.

It took Alec a while to work that out. Playing the rain is fun, but as soon as he heard the thunder he soon 'wandered' back toward the shop 😆

@@emmsimley I live out in the Mojave desert and it even rains in the summer when the water is warm and no lightning. As a kid, my father and his siblings were encouraged to go outside and play in the rain when it was warm. It does not rain often here, but when it does they are monsoon style (pours with flash floods etc) and can come any time of year. This is likely not the case in the UK.

@@emmsimley Well, she was living rough for awhile. My family has been in the Mojave desert for generations (mostly miners and RR workers) and my dad keeps a pack of bottled water in the trunk (rear compartment) of the car just in case.

Gotta' love the name Miracle. I have a 5th great granny whose first name was Thankful, another, Temperance, and several others farther back than that with similar "virtue" names. They lived in the mid 1700s, when names like that (Prudence, Mercy, Faith, Hope, Charity, Joy, Chastity, Constance, Grace etc) were popular.

@@emmsimley Yes, Start a spreadsheet. I have a huuuuge sheet (6 digits) after years of collecting names since Sims3. I keep a notepad close by all the time so if I hear a name on the news or in a documentary I can add it. I am adding names literally every day. The one that was added yesterday was from a news clip. A member of the school board (talking about the embattled Superintendant of schools) was a lady named Jaguanana. (a cross between Jaguar and Banana?) Great name.

Since Jessie is a doctor in real life, you can call it the Confectionary Clinic, or Cupcake Clinic. I have never done a retail shop in the sims4, so I have no tips.

You have to water crops and trees nearly every day when they are in season, unless the weather does. Move them close to the greenhouse and there are sprinklers build/buy.

I'm always waiting for the infants in the Sims 4 to gradually not hate tummy time... maybe at first, but after a while babies' necks strengthen and they shouldn't always be headbutting the floor 😄

Love the bakery! In the US they don't typically put commercial and residential zones in the same building like in other areas of the world, but I can imagine living in the house on the right of the bakery and becoming morbidly obese from just the aroma from the bakery that is just on the other side of the wall... 🤣🤣🤣
