Hey love your video!! I’m trying to make some seat covers for my car. I’m trying to use swirl crushed velvet fabric with this Kenmore sewing machine. Do I need Pacific thread & needles??

i'm considering making a foam wig and have watched several videos about it. this is the only one that i've seen suggest buckram for the wig base (most others use thin craft foam). which method do you think is the best?
@CostumeTrek
@CostumeTrek 4 ай бұрын
Either will work. I find buckram to be more stable. It is less likely to stretch out weirdly. That's why we chose to use it.

In an era when bathing was not " à la mode " it must have been very unhygienic and wearing so much clothing meant always being dependent on maids to get the misstress out of them !

How do you sew contour darts on velvet?
@CostumeTrek
@CostumeTrek 10 ай бұрын
Essentially the same way as you would with any other fabric, but with more pins...and bad words! Another option is to hand baste it first, then machine sew, skipping the pins. Good luck!

Fantastic overview. All the other videos I found on the topic either weren't academic, weren't detailed enough, or were far too lengthy, so this one is perfect for what I was looking for.

Thank you for this video! I'd like to take an old blazer, cut the blazer into the cat pattern I have and sew it onto 100% quilt cotton, quilted bag to use during October. Do you have any suggestions on the best way to go about this and what type of needle and thread do you recommend? Thank you!

I would really love to know the reason for such overly fulsome, fawning praise I frequently see in comments sections. It’s as though people want to top each other as they turn a simple +7 minute video-interesting and well made though it is-into the best, most supremely accomplished filmmaking ever seen on the Earth! Maybe this silliness is striking because I’m a psychologist, and the paeans are eerily reminiscent of narcissistic supply. Isn’t it enough for viewers just to enjoy a video??

What a sucky life. Your clothes are constantly uncomfortable, you have no privacy, you have no choice over who you marry, your husband regards you much as a couch her ordered from Ikea, you live in constant fear of revolt and execution, and your own damn son throws you out of the house, meanwhile, your lipstick is killing you.

With time, experience, review other such videos you can learn correct nomenclature and present a modeling display of ur collection. The SOFT BREAST in a bra for a woman with a single MASTECTOMY to balance her still remains best in weight and firmness. Probably a "D " CUP lady. Smaller artifical best for smaller lady with single radical mastectomy. Hope to.see you later in modeling ur collections.❤

The first ltem is actually a common BACK BRACE . This one has metal staves along the spine. It is higher in the back for thoracic back injury and surgery support. Shorter ones support LUMBAR injury and post surgery. Common for men and women. Vintage ones would have garter straps and clips for stockings ( pre-pantihose).
