hi, can I use boxed coconut cream, is it the same as coconut milk?

Boxed coconut cream is thicker than coconut milk. So you need to dilute it with water. By exactly how much, I'm not sure. You just need to estimate by adding water a little at a time.

I'm not sure but possible reasons could be overcooked during frying or the rice wasn't drained enough after soaking.

It should be 40 mins at 170C and then lower to 150 mins for 20 mins. So the total is 1 hr.

I wouldn't know since I don't know what steps you actually did. If you followed exactly as per the recipe then the cookies should not crumble easily. Make sure that your butter is really soft before creaming with the sugar. Also chill the dough in the fridge before slicing them. Hope that helps.
