Every car ride with my Lab puppy results in 30 minutes spent vacuuming up dog hair. Ah, summer shedding.

Can totally get it as we had the exact same feeling when we had our Ponyo for the first day. I slept by her crate for a week just in case she needs potty or petting (she didn't have a friend to stay together).

Your videos are some of the most comprehensive tutorials on training vital skills I've come across yet. No plugging a personal training program to "get the full lesson" and keeping things locked behind a paywall, just a clean and clear no-nonsense demonstration on an unshaped dog. Much appreciated, please keep this stellar content coming.

Maybe everyone who thinks an e-collar is a shock or hurts the dog, should try the collar on themselves to feel the vibration.
@Trainingwilddogs2 ай бұрын
agreed!
@lil.kaiakreations3 ай бұрын
What an idiot. If you cannot train your dog without the use of electrical shock, you have no business being around dogs at all.

Lmao easy for you to say. My late Beagle was excellent and we were able to train her with many different things, but recall was a nightmare. It’s a part of her breed. I would’ve rather had her on an ecollar than have to have lost her to a hit and run. She’s gone now. I can’t get her back. It’s not all about the efforts of the trainer, some breeds are truly THAT stubborn that in order to ensure their safety you have to take more drastic measures. Don’t be a dick.
@brucemacwatters92213 ай бұрын
Does not make sense what you’re doing. Why wouldn’t you teach the behavior first and then layer in the ecollar. The ecollar should not be used to teach the behavior

I went on the website and I can’t find the Cue gen2. There is one that just says Cue and has a green remote. It says that it’s new but the discount code doesn’t work with that collar. Any thoughts on why the Cue gen2 isn’t on the website?

why do you use leash pressure instead of luring?
@leisewri3 ай бұрын
just answered my own question lol i understand the connection you're making between the leash and the "virtual leash" (e-collar)
@Trainingwilddogs3 ай бұрын
I use luring in the leash training phase of this! When I get to the ecollar training phase I prefer the reach for treats to only come after the behavior is performed and the pressure has turned off so they build a positive association to it. You could certainly do it both ways though.

I don't understand, is this evil, it seems kinda evil? Maybe the lesser of two evils, if the dog was eating kids, was the dog eating kids?
@Trainingwilddogs3 ай бұрын
Nothing evil about it! Perhaps you are misinformed and believe I am “shocking” this dog but that’s not the case at all. This dog was returned to the shelter 3 times so this training is going to ensure that never happens again!

Does Crash look like he's in pain? A dog that runs in the street and gets hit by a car feels more pain than a dog that learns a good recall with the e-collar.
@feefawfern82403 ай бұрын
I saw in another comment , that the dog might have been eating kids. Did you ever think of that? Would you rather have the dog put down? Sometimes when dogs eat kids drastic measures are called for.
