Kyle is a pretty light weight driver which helps getting a better ET. Not sure how much the rear glass weighs.. Car didn't have rear windows and liftgate glass which reduced the weight some. There may have been other parts removed after the crash. It did have a full interior. Definitely a fast car as they ran 9.73 on the 2nd pass. Never expected the car to be that quick as I thought that the body damage and lack of windows would cause extra drag and slow the car down. Looks like I was wrong. I never thought that the car would even get into 9's considering the aerodynamic impact of the crash damage and the 22" wheels.. I was wrong..

20" but I'm 220 lbs.. A lighter driver can even be in the 9.70's with 22"

I had issues with my 60' time. Should be 1.57 to 1.59..

I purchased a used set of Slipstream wheels with stock Continental tires for the track. The Nexens that I have on the car for daily driving suck at the track.

I don't have the Kona anymore. The US version didn't have the VESS button.

And they could be faster, but they are speed limited to 110 mph, as evidenced by the R1T finishing at exactly 110 while the X was 142.

This happened in Lakeland/Florida at the intersection of Daughtery Rd. and US 98 North. Eastbound Daughtery Rd. just before US 98 N.

Same thing applies to automatic gas cars. All the new Porsches, Vettes, Lambos, McLarens have launch control. I used to race a 68 Vette with a 5 speed Tremec. Later I switched to Auto for bracket racing and because 950 HP was too much for a Tremec. Virtually no bracket cars are stick.

@@macario1885 yes, Doom is available on steam and therefore on my car. Right now, I only play 3 games which I all completed 100%. Mafia Definitive Edition, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption. My next game will be Forza Horizon 5.

From 80 to 96%, there is virtually no difference in ET. At 70% about a tenth of a second slower. At 50% 2 tenths.

That was my slowest run of the day. My best so far was 9.829. The record for a Model X Plaid is 9.73 I believe. I'm 230 lbs which hurts my ETs. A 130 lbs driver would likely run 9.72.. @@justrandomthings319 I usually go to the track alone. Once in a while, Andrew from Tesla Plaid Channel records one of my runs and that's how I'd get HD footage. I rely on LueTubeTV. Most of my runs have in car footage but sometimes, I have my phone connected to the car with OBD2 to get acceleration ststistics and I can't record video on those runs. Tesla is in the business of selling cars. Fed raised rates which trashes the car market as most cars are financed. They had to lower prices to move the cars. I'm sure that they would still have a higher price if the cars would sell at that price. I blame the entities that are to blame. 1) government causing inflation with insane spending and 2) The Fed for unreasonable rate hikes. It's not just Teslas. If you bought a C8 Vette, you had to pay $100k for a $60k car as mark ups were insane while the interest rates were low. Mustang Mach E's had $20k mark ups, F150 Lightning up to $100k mark ups and even Hyundai Ioniq 5 had $10k mark up. Everyone who bought an in demand car during that time has a car that is worth much less. I traded in my Model Y for the Plaid and got $59500. If I would trade it in in the current market, I'd get $35k for it. So, my reduced value isn't that bad considering the money I got for my trade. If you buy a 6 figure car, you will lose a lot of money when you sell. That's just the way it is unless you buy a collectors car and don't put any miles on it.
