Minor threat and then Fugazi. I use to watch them in my lunchroom at school dances at HB Woodlawn. Never Surrender!!!!

Nirvana may have sold more records but FVGZI will always be in my eyes (& ears) the most important band of the 1990’s. They were incredible.

They were just doing their thing at the wrong time. I don’t even have to name the genre that was the reason for this band being considered to have never “made it”. But I guarantee you plenty of artists making the music that was blowing up at the time probably liked Fugazi and would even consider them influences.

@@ResourcefulNomad so much to say the music was our movement sometimes it was the punks against the skins which was whatever until people started getting stabbed in the mosh pits or parking lots after the shows after that the scene changed because the music changed Punks kinda faded away and the skins went to prison I miss the times a lot

DC punk . often these guys will have relatives who worked in Government. on one hand you can say they were groomed to fit into the youth culture but on the other hand you know they're lashing out against it. its difficult to gauge

How did Nirvana get so much praise/recognition while this band remained in complete obscurity? They did what ppl think Nirvana did just way, wayyy better.
