Beach driving is one thing, the entrance onto the beach is no joke in OBX the hardest to drive in. Appreciate you showing that more so than the actual beach.

Although I got this GOOL Rc mainly for my 3yr old son with my thought process being He will inevitably destroy it, and it will not hurt my wallet nearly as much when he does. 😂. It has successfully been destroyed since the making of this video. But he thoroughly enjoyed it while it lasted.

I tried x mode and it will just make the car dig more (not good) as u don’t want to dig. U want to stay on top of the sand. It’s kinda like a LOW gear in 4wd.

It’s not the most capable crawler out there. It is just as fun though and is well priced. Not many parts available to repair it. It’s like crawling in HARD mode 😆

I can only imagine they do just as well since they use a very similar awd system. If u have the package that has the bigger wheels then just air down to 15ish psi and it shouldn’t have any issues. In my experience LOW tire pressures and momentum are usually the main factors that keep u out of trouble.

My Subaru has all factory suspension. The bigger tires may give a slight bit of ground clearance. Tire pressure is of massive importance off road. U will be surprised at the difference it makes in most situations. ✌️

The part about the traction control is really insightful It explains why those Subaru VDC traction control demonstrations on rollers or a diagonal work: 2 of the tires are still on a high grip surface, unlike snow or sand. Which instances do you prefer to keep traction control on while being off road, if any?

Thanx for watching and the kind words. I typically just drive it “as is” unless going into sand. In which case I turn off traction control off. It sometimes has to think for a few seconds if u get at least 2 tires off the ground but eventually the car will figure it out and pull itself through.

I have a lot of people say "Oh it's just all wheel drive . You can't really take it off road ." I respond "Really , go to KZfaq and put in Subaru Outback in mud ". The next time I see them they are very quiet . My 2009 Impreza does pretty good , My 2024 Outback does much much better , but my 1967 IH Scout is boss . Truth is the 2024 Outback may be the best but I'm not willing to try it in a new car lol ..

Factory shocks. I have the newer version that came with smaller tires and I added wheel weights to the inside of the body for some weight. Definitely less capable now but I like the way it moves 😁🤷🏼😆
