'Hero' is a bit of a stretch. A nice gesture, sure. Keep in mind, animals have different styles of parenting, just because the parents appeared as helpless to their young, doesnt mean they are. That wall may have been man-made, but it's no different an obstical from a small cliff or large tree that has fallen. Ultimately, the man couldve fatality injured one the young.
