I just got one of these for white water rafting and mainly as far as Im concerned for head trauma would be getting hit by a branch or paddle t grip. did you have any times you hit your head that was notable and if so how did the helmet hold up against it damage wise?

I swear this is the best 3-18x optic (for the money) that no one ever talks about. I bought one on a whim from optics planet last year during their black friday sale. I was thinking "oh for $1k this'll be a perfect scope to use as a floater and for my friends to borrow when they come to the range with me." That didn't last long. It quickly found a permanent home on one of my MK12 inspired builds. I regularly shoot it out to 500 yards at my normal range, and on a few occasions, I've been able to stretch it out past 800 yards. The only small knock I can give it (and this is likely something Trijicon could take care of if I wanted to send it in for warranty) is that on mine (sample size of one mind you) the elevation turret clicks are not quite as defined feeling as the windage turret clicks. Functionally speaking, it tracks spot on.

It seems like a legit plate carrier especially for the money.You mentioned that the Crye jpc was more comfortable. Doesn't this have more padding than the jpc?
@AlabamaVeteran
@AlabamaVeteran Ай бұрын
The condor Plate carrier has more padding, but the way the JPC is designed it's more ergonomic making it streamlined which fits the body better allowing ease of movement. But also, the JPC is almost three times the cost.

just bought my first AR10 .308 this year, outfitted with a night vision scope for pig hunting. It's a GEN3 PSA AR10, knowing that AR10 were not mil spec I figured magazine were just magazines but my AR10 is picky, Already found some metal magazines that "lock in" to deep and hang up on the bolt carrier. P-MAGS are working great but I wanted some cool ass metal magazines.

Can you go through and give a breakdown of what your trigger is, what your buffer spring and weight is, have you done anything else to the lower and upper receiver? Whats the whole weight of the rifle? I assume it's lighter than most cause of having that fluted barrel. Thanks for your time and what details you gave and shown in this video.

I know this is a couple years old, but how much velocity diff do you see from, for example, a 0.2gr difference? I'm a new reloader and have been learning on 9mm. I can easily achieve ~12fps sd by using like headstamps, carefully weighting powder charges and seeking consistent seating depth. Single digit SD has eluded me though other than in very small and statistically insignificant test groups. I'm curious (I'll be testing it soon of course) what you've seen. It's a fun process and I'm definitely always learning!
@AlabamaVeteran
@AlabamaVeteran 3 ай бұрын
I tested a few more rounds after this video, but had problems maintaining seating depth. I never needed to crimp regular rounds with other bullets but these powder coated bullets continually kept getting pushed into the case. After several of these happening, I decided that I didn't want to lose anymore primers or powder.

I have the first-generation model that I classified as JUNK, but it did operate other than the top turret with a lot of movement left/right. It just arrived generation 2 model, my cost $289.00, if it hadn’t been priced at $289.00, no way would I have bought another. The first scope was bought about 8 years ago at $370.00. This scope will be mounted on a 22LR for shooting out to 100 yards, I don't need a higher magnification, 12/16, power is enough.
