The greatest writer for women in movies has been railroaded by women and I just don’t get it or buy it or understand why we cannot separate the Harvey Weinsteins and Matt Laurers and Charlie Roses and omg Donald Trumps of the world, on the one hand, with feminist men like Woody Allen (or Al Franken). Any cursory investigation of either of the latter exonerates them, but it’s impossible in this climate to investigate. It's weird - not necessarily to see Woody Allen old. But to see this 80 year old befuddled facing a sheer wall of digital phones and cameras.
