The frozen people were the missing runners. A nuclear war occurred causing the remaining humans to live under the dome as it had the only livable area. The novel is vastly different. Some of the novel's concepts and general plot are in the movie but the Run is different as is Francis and the world that Logan live in.

I dont mean you. I was just commenting on something else when.i started to remember all the scary-fkr-its-time pigheaded comments by other reactors and "has not aged well" popped up a half second later. I was just venting and your video comments section was right at hand. Just venting about other reactors.

I think i'll go postal if i hear "good for its time" nonsense about movies from the late 60s to the dawn of the 80s. ESPECIALLY when criticizing movies like MASH 1970 or Animal House 1978 for what some see as political incorrectness. Comments like that presuppose we are now perfect. As in 2024 is superior to 1970 and 1978. Huh? "Well that didnt age well!" is also predicated on the same notion that 2024 is kinder and more civil than 1978 or 1970. What? Democracy and the Jeffersonian idea that America is more than a country but an ideal have not aged well. 2016 and the rise of Trump kicked "America the ideal" out of America the country with clearly defined borders. Did 1970 or 1978 ever elect a fascist like we did in 2016? Or storm the capitol like 1/6/2021? Or appear to jetison everything this country used to stand for as it looks like we are going to do in Nov 2024? No. Trump is why the past (after the abolition of slavery) can.morally kick us in 2024 in the ass and ask for payment. Nothing since slavery can out-vicious him. America and Democracy have not aged well.

What will be better in the future for Man? 1- To have a female robot who is a companion and who will not take half of your assets in a divorce or create a false accusation of assault? (obviously I mean false accusation, not real). 2- Or to have a real woman who, for a mere argument, she can take half of your assets and you can only see your children twice a week? 🤣🤣🤣

My number one pick for a Halloween movie for kids would have to be Spaced Invaders (1990). It's a science fiction comedy set on Halloween night. It's not the least bit scary and is actually rather goofy. You should watch it. :)

Why do you keep claiming to be a "wuss" when it comes to horror movies? You barely bat an eye at most movies. I saw one reactor turn off It: Chapter 1 after screaming at several parts, and then after she finished it, she declared that she wasn't going to watch the second part.

I feel like it would have been a different movie, but around 17:45 when Christine rams the other dudes car, would have been cool if that car was also possessed (I mean, those guys also had very bad attitudes) and the two cars began attacking each other.

Jen, since you enjoy sci-fi/horror combo flicks, I highly recommend the 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Halloween III(radically different from the rest of the films in the series which combines the element of fantasy as well.).

This is an essential cheesy cult classic! Regarding TV show versions of Flash Gordon, there was a brief series in the 50's, an outstanding animated series in the late 70's to early 80's, a less than stellar animated series in the 90's and a horrendous show from the 21st century which may explain why there hasn't been any more movies or TV shows in a while. If you like some serious sci-fi cheese, I recommend Starcrash, an Italian Star Wars knockoff.

It's always a joy to see folks reacting to this movie. It's my all-time favorite. Since you like these old school 70's sci-fi flicks Jen, I have a recommendation for you, Colossus: The Forbin Project.

The second movie is very different but also *very* good in it's own way. The third one is a prequel and it's fun but not as good as the other two imo. I've loved these movies for o long now! You wondered how the movie was received at the time.. well Columbine had just happened before they started filming and the whole thing almost fell through because of the teenage violence and school setting. This also really hurt it's release, so it only had a short run in Canadian theatres.. but it's gained a huge cult following since
