Could a pair of EDF fans actually be made to work in this design? If I remember the way Airwolf worked, it was a normal helicopter when it took off, and when it first started to move forward. When the turbines engaged, the top rotor "disconnected" from the primary driveshaft, and Airwolf became an extremely fast Autogyro. The free spinning top blades combined with the sleek body and stubby "winglets" all helped Airwolf to attain jet level speeds, as the entire aircraft acted as a lifting body. Perhaps in a future design, a functional set of EDF fans could perhaps give it a boost of speed?

Nun ja, das Video ist zwischenzeitlich uralt, den Heli gibt es nicht mehr zu kaufen (vielleicht bei Ebay ..?) und ein Kommentar eigentlich überflüssig. Ich habe zufällig diesen Beitrag heute gesehen und wollte etwas zur "Glaubwürdigkeit" solcher Verkaufsvideos schreiben. Schon damals wurde der Heli als Modell für Anfänger angepriesen. Das war glattweg eine freche Lüge. Selten habe ich einen Heli "geflogen" der dermaßen instabil in der Luft herumgeeiert ist. Ein simpler 4 Kanal Heli ohne Pitchverstellung. Die Höhe wurde über die Drehzahl des Rotors gesteuert. Eigentlich vergleichbar mit ein Heli mit Flybar (z.B. Monstertronic MT400) . Ein teurer Schrott (damals ca. €500) der mit recht vom markt verschwunden ist
