This is one of my favourite fights in all of anime, and I don’t rate Naruto much.

He was hitting him so hard with the 8 palms the first time, he knocked him off his feet. That's a pretty drastic difference from fighting Naruto in the Chunin exams, he wasn't holding back at all in this fight. Man idk how Naruto Part 1 was SO good (even a lot of the filler) and ended up being Shippuden.....it had a few good moments, some good battles here and there but it really lost something along the way. And don't get me started on what came after Shippuden, don't even need to say the name.

There’s something I haven’t seen people mention when it comes to this fight: Sakura’s WAY more competent and a better fighter when Sasuke isn’t in the picture. If she just got over her obsession with Sasuke and had more to her arsenal than just being Tsunade 2.0 she would be MUCH more liked. Just imagine if she had genjutsu, earth style jutsu, and was the tactician of Team 7 like Shikamaru was for his team.

Fun fact (or sad depending on what you think) kishimoto wanted to focus on Naruto going on more missions but his editors would not let him and forced him to create all the extra characters and jump right into a tournament arc. Ironically the anime did what Kishimoto wanted to do and made filler stories about Naruto going on various missions.
