Love that Jerermy Clarkson and co are happy to sing the praises of Lancia and their achievements . I grew up with Lancia'a as my dad was a huge fan, we had loads of them in the family, mostly Fulvia's , Flavias, 2000 hf's , a Flamminia saloon that we drove to Italy for Lancia centenary but they were courtesy of the beta rust bucket and the hatchet job from Ester Rantsen (lovely lady) unfortunately a great source of ridicule especially as my dad had 3 close friends that all drove Porsche's , is only now years later that Lancia are starting be recognised as the car of motoring and engineering connoisseurs .

14 years later this is exactly what I was looking for. I will try it tomorrow, I recently got into Battlefield modding. The game is still alive!

I think this was the whole point in making cars that were considered good a long time ago: them being not boring, rich in personality and actual instruments that made you feel alive, despite all the possible flaws and problems of it. Today, we are fed with more and more cars that are all the same, electric, totally controlled by computers, cars that don't require you to drive or intervene at all when making mistakes, and still be perfect, comfortable, and reliable. But that's not driving anymore. That doesn't make me feel excited to start a trip, hit the road, to the horizon.

There have been many beautiful cars, but none more so than the Lancia Stratos. I cannot think of a car I would rather have than one of these.

There are two Lancia Stratos cars in the Disney movie 'Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo'. I think this is because the Stratos was designed to race there. Clearly it did so well as a race-car, that they let people use it for regular driving too.
