As many cows as you and Travis have now, might be time to move a new manure spreader to the top of the list

I want to get into live stock hauling so bad. But theres not a lot of pro and con vids. My reason is just to know what im getting into. I love being active. And being a city boy i hate sitting still. The idea of sitting in an office space basking under ambient light is traumatically suffering. Me and my wife love animals. We live in a townhome right now and we have 19 pets. Lol because eof how bad we want to raise & sell heifers and goats. Man i want to live this life. I feel so stuck in this city trying to figure out where to get my foot in the door with this type of farm life.

Such an unique machine. You can see from the video the fertilizer is going where it needs as well as so much less dust than traditional broadcast spreaders.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and videos. Always enjoy seeing the Airflow unit in action. Still can’t help but think that would be a great base to build a mobile home on for areas like Alaska or northern Canada. Wishing you and your family the best.

Manure can have lots of NPK and other nutrients. The last field I tested had 150 ppm P and 1000 ppm of K in the 9" debts. I have been testing the manure I apply for the last 50 years. As Is it test 40:45:42 lbs per ton. This is for West Texas feed lot. The way yours looks the total will be more like 24 lbs. per ton.

When Andrew was talking about tuning the planter and casually dropping the brand names of things just reminded me of a NASCAR Driver or crew chief giving a post race interview.

Seeing dust kick up caused me to think about cab air filters. Change yours regularly or blow them out?
@ericrisch96169 күн бұрын
Travis goes through them every spring. Mid summer and fall
@HowFarmsWork6 күн бұрын
We blow them out every 3 days and they’re changed at least once if not twice a year

Ill tell you why manure is good, it has a little bit of everything at a more balanced rate. Beef manure is low in nutrients but it works great because it has 10+ things in it. Name a fert that has everything and is compatible....
@maxmoo32759 күн бұрын
Manure has a LOT more than 10 "things" in it. Many that we don't fully understand how they work, as Andrew alluded to.
