It was a lot of fun. We'd all spent 4+ years developing the data and the website so it was great to realise our efforts had paid off. We also found out the we were the most accurate of all the tactical voting websites too

Yes we decided to watch them at the stopthetories party as I was supposed to be in their studio, but didn't make the 'final cut' so to speak, plus we wanted to watch Alistair and Rory, but yes the poll reveal was a bit long-winded by them

C4 didn't have the exit poll numbers before hand, only the BBC, ITV & Sky did, so C4 had to wait until it was broadcast

Rage might of got the top for week ending systems based on unit the week before christmas with killing in the name for media christmas #1 (20th December for 13th to 19th sales and units) but as there only got top for one week only, if you go by the truly calendar sales and units (20th to 26th december) it was the climb by Joe McElderry was officially chrismas week #1 so x factor still was the winner.

Nice try - You're trying to redefine the parameters of the same Christmas chart rules since 1952, but alas in vain. Had we needed to to make the record No.1 for New Years Day then we could have easily done that too looking at the following week's sales, so your point is moot
