The ban on Airbnb’s has allowed hotels to inflate their prices. Dramatically, we won’t be vacationing in Kelowna in,rss hotel,prices come down. Add that to the much higher costs of eating out vs being able to prepare meals in an airbnb, forget it. Too expensive.

As a resident of Vancouver, here are OUR top 5 reasons we didn't go on our annual Okanagan trip - 1. The growth of the homeless population, 2. Wildfire risk, 3. Hotel cost (limited private Air BNB accommodation), 4. Raudz restaurant closed, 5. I always get a speeding ticket on the way, especially on the long weekend.

From what I understand, most of the province is on fire. No one wants to get caught in the middle of the forest fire and not be able to get out and who has money for travel.
