I use acrylics but I use heavy body acrylics as their better and easier to use than standard bottle acrylics

I've been dabbling in oils on and off for the past year. I still cant decide how i feel, theyre very very fun to use but they're both fast to use and slow to use because of the drying. You can layer with oils like acrobit it takes weeks to oaint something, but the blending is super fast. I'm going to keep playing with them. If you feel like helping with some CC it would be great to show you my current model

Blood angels would be nice. Highlighting red is always a pain for me. And do you thin the oils when you are applying them?

I use the oils straight out of the tube most of the time. For the first step i like to thin them to create a wash before applying the thicker layers on top

Thank you! The model is sculpted by my friend torben ryde and has been sold by Nordlys miniatures. Nordlys is unfourtunately shut down now. But this model, along with torbens latest sculpt will be available on this kickstarter campaign. www.kickstarter.com/projects/1355278117/the-archer-a-torben-ryde-miniature-display-sculpt The campaign starts today and runs the next two weeks. I'd love to see your take on Wordbearers in this style, I'm curious how you will deal with the technical challenge created by the presence of all of the runes text and sygils on their armor. Also I like the darker red you get on them and the blood ravens as compared to the brighter red's of the blood angels and world eaters.
