They got better and better as time passed. The lead singer was killing it by the time the band folded shop. Early on she haad a hard time staying on key.

You can hear some of the energy is gone after Alison had to calm down her drumming. She screwed up her body and went through two surgeries because she was laying into it too hard.

The best part of the audio of the show is that you can actually hear all of the instruments, especially Maya on Bass. Some of the other concerts seem to have some of the other instruments over power the other audio?, and you are not always able to clearly hear Maya's bass playing? They all play their hearts out. Torry is an absolute monster on the drums, combined with Allison on guitar and Maya on Bass. Rock on!. The Donnas could have continued, but it would not be the same without Torry on the drums?. That, of course, is only my thoughts. Thoughts, all?

I still am so proud of these ladies-Palo Alto in the house! I first noticed them when I heard that they went to Jordan Jr. High where I went also and followed them after that. They were at Jordan way before my time, such a shame that they had so many obstacles thrown their way even though they blasted their way through alot of them. Really dig ladies who are BADA$$ and can play rock the way it's meant to be.

Yeah... Even the professional reviews they got back then were unfair garbage. Can't help suspecting misogyny. Always "girls trying to be Ramones". I mean wtf their sound has to do with Ramones? Besides the 8ths on hihat all over the place, and maybe some of the attitude in the lyrics, it's not similar at all. It's a pity they had to call it quits.

@@Retfie719 You're right, there was misogyny happening--trying to be the Ramones? ha ha-THAT is hilarious! The name thing and as you said the attitude is similar, but they were completely different. As if the Ramones could outdo The Donnas or play a single note of lead like Allison did! It is a shame that Torry couldn't continue playing drums and later they decided not to carry on. I have a really good all woman Japanese rock band for you---Band-Maid. They are so good they shut up the misogynists. They can get pretty ferocious-and all are badasses!

I liked their earlier punk rock records much more than the hair band crap they seem to like. Either way, I think they’re cool, & Hott ☺️ I used to have a huge crush on the guitar player (Donna R I think 🤔).

Such a great band. I miss these talented ladies!!! They were so ahead of their time IMO. They were self promoting themselves in the early days of the internet when a lot of bands weren't doing anything like that at all.

The GoGo's hit when I was in 7th grade (1981?) and we loved them but I just got hip to the Donna's in like 2019 and they are my favorite girl band ever. The guitar player f-ing ROCKS. Yes there are better players but I love their mix of punk and rock. They have way better stage presence than Greta Van Fleet if that's saying anything. 🤔🤣

Such a good band, and a brilliant sound for a basic four-piece outfit. One thing I spotted is that none of them appear to be covered in tattoos, something which is unusual by today's (2022) standards, either in male or female bands

I always thought the Donna's has some good tunes, but watching an hour long set (well less the interludes) kind of reminds me of why this sort of style had a hard time breaking it big. Just too same-y and plain, good for up to 30 minutes, but after that my attention can't stay focused.

Sadly this was the highest The Donnas would get in there career. They were at the right place but the wrong time in a time where Illegally downloaded music was at an all time high & there album sales weren’t the greatest. Can only hope for a reunion tour down the road, that would be sick.

I think this was the band's musical peak. It's just too bad there wasn't a lot released from this period. Torry's injury wasn't the end for them but it accelerated it.
