Mine was a SHIT SHOW to start out with. I got mine about 6 weeks ago. First mag 4 failure to feeds and 2 light primer strikes. Keep powering through the first 200 rounds. And it got better and better, in total the first 200 rounds. I had 15-20 Failure to feeds and 10 light primer strikes. After the first 200 rounds I took the gun COMPLETELY apart including the Striker Assembly All springs and everything cleaned it good. Then went back and put another 200 rounds through it. Only had 2 Failure to Feeds and one light primer strike. I reached out to Canik and they sent a 3rd spring (green) and a new Striker. But knowing that the gun got better I went back and took it down one more time fully. I did not install any of the new parts. Since that time I have put about 1000 rounds through it with zero issues 1400 rounds total. Seems they need some heavy break in but mine is all good now.

IV had my Glock 43x for about 5-6 months now bought it from a coworker from my old job he estimated about 200 rounds when threw it when I bought it IV since then put 1263 rounds threw it making a total of 1463 and IV only had 2 light primer strikes rounds the 1200-1300 point but no parts need to be replaced but i do have a spare recoil spring and trigger spring i plan on getting a full small parts repair kit for it soon but every time im at the rang i put a minimum of 150 threw it and its my favorite pistole IV ever owned

I chose the 19x. It doesn't bother me in the least if the magazines from gen 5 guns won't fit. I'll buy ones that do fit.

I think only a few of the early ones had any issues and it would probably be fine after a few hundred rounds. They are a great gun.

You aren’t lying when you say magazines make or break 1911s. My Custom II would jam up all the time with the Kimber mags, when I switched to Wilson Combat mags, never had a problem for over 2 years, over 1000 rounds later. Shot flawlessly.

Dealt with Century for 3 months to get a replacement and you wouldn't believe what they did if I was able to say it online, but in short, they broke the law bad. Total nightmare. With the two I've worked with I noticed the problems were mostly related to a poorly machined barrel throat/lip and spring tensions. Occasional light strikes, but not super frequent. Their replacement springs did not work for me, they failed to repair it and finally just replaced it. So, this isn't going to help everyone. Just a PSA.
@BoomStickTacticalКүн бұрын
I only had a couple hiccups with it and the spring resolved it

As someone who caught some shrapnel in the knee from a .303 that was accidentally fired from a Lee Enfield that was "drop caught" - I just want to say this is 100% the best advise I've heard today.

I’ve had a jamming issue with my SFT. When I use fiocci ammo that had little flat tips it would get hung up and fail to feed. And the slide would be completely locked up. Even after dropping the mag it would be locked tight pretty good. Runs fine with everything else but I was considering polishing the feed ramp and seeing if it makes a difference. It’s not a huge deal to me because it’s only a range gun that I don’t carry. But it would be nice to not have an issue regardless of what I feed it. Super accurate piece with a great trigger. Should probably reach out to Canik and see what they recommend. For now I just use different ammo and it’s fine.

I have a question. Does any of your rough riders let you drop the hammer on the third click. Mine allows it, and will fire out of time. My cylinder rotates about an 1/8” from 3rd to fourth click. Fourth click is in time. Doesn’t seem right that it’ll let it fire from the third click when it’s clearly out of time, and it does splatter lead. Thanks
