Great honest review! Mine also broke 2 months in, Then the replacement did the same, so I was so mad I have reverted to my Sennheiser’s (380, 280) what a shame - I have held off for 8 mos asking for a replacement because I thought I would wait til they actually fixed the problem. Was going to buy a bunch of sets so that all the headphones are the same - but now I’m still waiting to see what happens with the next replacement - Its very, very disappointing and unlike Rode products which have generally been superb. What to do.?

3:36 - I just tried this, but my 32-bit float audio WAV has a massive noise floor that drowns me out, even in a quiet room. My voice can barely be heard, exact same setup, any idea what could be causing it?

I picked up a used F3 for like half of the new price. I added the BT dongle as well. I have not used it for anything serious yet. I like how small and simple it is. I dont like the on/off switch (too easy to press accidentally), same with the REC slider switch. I have a Tascam X8 and a Zoom F8nPro, they are super cool and versatile, but quite a bit more fiddly too.

Cool video, I want to do something similar to use that shockmount with my Oktava 319, I do need to know if the "shaft" of the microphone will go through the shockmount's opening, though. Would you be so kind to please measure it for me? It would be really helpful.

An exchange will be more costly as shipping to China will exceed the amount of the unit. AliExpress offers fre or minimal shipping because they group orders together. So not possible IMO.

Dude, mine did the exact same thing. It's a major design flaw! I super glued the locking connector back on and it only lasted another couple weeks. It's a huge disappointment to me. I hope there's some kind of fix for this.

I have the three matched components at home - CDII, Ampster II and Tuner II and Tangent X4 Speakers plus the older AS-160 subwoofer. My lounge isn't huge but this system sounds amazing in there. Main playback source is Daphile for mp3 + FLAC plus online radio, Deezer, etc, all running on a NUC with Topping D10 DAC. Audiophile quality for less than £500!

I'm on the fence about the Pocket 3. It is a want not a need but good lord the Shure SM7B is amazing ridiculous looking on the pocket 3 but still. I already have 4 of them so I don't need any more but, if you are looking for a studio microphone march on down to that affiliate link you will not be dissapointed.

The USB C port on my plastic evo 4 disconnects if I touch the cord, so I try not to touch the cord. I'm leery about buying another plastic audio interface. Where I live, the price of the Zoom UAC-232 and the Steinberg IXO22 are about the same price. Any thoughts? And thanks for the review.

I know this is an old video and not expecting I’ll get a reply here but am I the only one who thinks the Beacn sounds fine? I’ve had the Rodecaster Duo and the SM7B for going on 2 years now and I love it. But I’m tired of having a quarter of my desk taken up by the mixer. I’d love to get a Dynamic USB mic that has built-in DSP on the mic to suppress background noise, add compression, a little EQ and do all the processing on the mic so that it doesn’t use up my pc resources. It’s 2024 and I still don’t see a USB mic on the market that can do that besides the Beacn. I’ve tried the PodMic USB, the noise gate is awful and you can hear me tapping my keyboard no matter what I set it to. So what’s the big issue with the Beacn? I can tell it’s no SM7B, sure. But it doesn’t sound like “trash” like everyone claims it does. What am I missing?

What pushed me over the edge was coming back home from a week’s travel adventure and my bloody GoPro dated all the files 1-1-1970 11:59 am. Never mind the camera had the correct time and date. Chuck into the overheating, the frequent freezing and the never connecting to the stupid app…. My Osmo Pocket 2/3 just worked out of the box and I’m hoping for the same with the Action 4.
