his first world cup in 98 he was a young player and did pretty well. His 2nd world cup in 02 was disappointing, but he only played 1 full game coz he got an early red card and then was suspended for the final game as France were eliminated. In 06 he started off slow, but played well in the knockouts vs Brazil and Portugal, and was by a distance France's best player in the final against Italy despite suffering a concussion in the first minute.

I remember watching a defender talking about Henry's speed. But I can't recall who is was now. It was a long time ago but they were at the time a good defender. But he said words to this effect. _"I was marking Henry. He was 2 yards in front of me. The Arsenal 'keeper kicked the ball forwards and I turned to see where Henry was. I’m glad Henry finally moved out of Arsenal because even though it was a little too late for him to win the Ballon D’or but that man deserves at least a UCL title… if he left earlier, he would have won the Ballon D’or… moral of the story is to move out of domestically big clubs that have no European legacy to a European powerhouse before it’s too late… win UCL and Ballon D’or… looking at you Mbappe and Odegaard
