Those who warble on about being 'Working Class' clearly have a LOVE for a class system and division. Fools RISE ABOVE CLASS DIVISIONS.

Its a bad idea, they don't exist, they are sewers. The Tyburn exists as a small stream between Hampstead and swiss cottage, it goes straight down the interceptor sewer. From swiss cottage south its just a sewer. As for the fleet, the entire length is a sewer. Sorry but this is misleading, it would be impossible to redirect the sewage and even if they did, theres hardly any water from source. I would love for it to happen but they are trunk sewers. I have explored some of them, they only carry sewage and rain water. These sewers will connect to then Tideway tunnel once complete and they will very rarely if ever meet at the Thames

Holmes was not gay. The author did not talked about it because of the moral values of that time. It was not relevant for the story.

Another point to make is that the Maroons of Jamaica were not fully African. They were mixed with the native people the inhibited the island. To some degree Sierra Leone has a Native American population.

My grandmother was living at Winifred Street, North Woolwich together with her four-year-old son when the explosion occurred in 1917. Her husband (my grandfather) was in France at the time. He enlisted in the army at the outset of World War 1. Fortunately, Grandmother and son were unharmed by the explosion. They went to stay with relatives at Blackheath and remained with them long after their father returned from war in 1919. Apparently, the home at Winifred Street, along with neighbouring properties somehow avoided the most serious, structural damage. However, the explosive force was so intense, coupled with the risk of spreading fire, that many homes in the area became instantly uninhabitable. Bear in mind also, both labour and materials would have been in short supply, it is reasonable to assume that even simple, basic repairs would take some while to complete. Anyway, for a variety of sound reasons, no doubt, our family never returned to that locality
