pick up a tire repair kit with plugs. You can do it at home and it'll get you to the dealer n/p. I rode a season with a plug in the rear tire. also good if your tire goes right flat while on the road. Just hope a gas station with air is close.

I'm definitely doing that next time! The last time this happened I had no problems, but the nail was smaller. Thank you for your suggestion. Hopefully between my miscalculation and your wisdom this will help somebody out in the future if they run into this situation. 😁

I had a 2019 KTM 690 SMCR that had the S22 tires and then I got S23 , when they were worn. Seemed like a good tire that wears longer . I am looking at possibly buying a Speed Twin, and they have those sticky METZLER tires that will probably not last long … wish they would have put either S23, or Road 6 on these new model Speed Twin 1200!

@sigberetta72 When I had my S22's installed, I knew before riding out of the parking lot of the dealership how much more I liked them over the stock Metzlers. I am looking forward to the 23's! I may be biased, but I really think you'd like the Speed Twin. 😁

Thanks! It is a moto jacket, one of my favorites for sure. Here's where I got mine, It looks like their out of stock of the green one like mine but they still have a blue and brown color available. I totally get your question. It's spendy, a convenience and believe me I never thought I'd do it. But, after finding my tire flat and wondering when it happened or how i got home the previous night, changed my mind. Now that I have it, I wouldn't want to be without it. No regrets anyways. (although it could be a little less $)

@@CafeRiderCoffee316 I do roast, on a SR800 and I can rarely get a roast that comes out right and I’ve tried many different approaches with regard to lift and heat control. So looking at videos of the bullet had me wondering if I want to try drum roasting instead.

@Timmicillo I might decat someday, but I'm really loving the tone as it is. I think it's perfect, not too loud but loud enough, and it crackles and pops in all the right places. Have you done anything to your suspension yet? If not, I would consider putting the money for an xpipe and tune towards that. I promise you that will make a huge difference on your bike. I did a full Nitron setup. I'm really happy with it. Good stuff. I did the shocks last year and the forks this year. If I had to choose only one, I'd go with the shocks. Forks are bonus 😁 The fun thing about having a bike is making it our own. The led bulb helped the vision at night. It's not as nice as those cool adaptive one's but it's also not $$$!

How is the engine heat for you? I just got a 23 Speed twin and I'm shocked at the amount of heat coming from the engine compared to my Street Scrambler.

I really only notice the heat on those real hot days, but yes, the Speed Twin definitely puts out some heat. Part of it's character I guess.
