Man my vinyl collection outclasses my turntable. Started with an all in one (CD, Bluetooth, cassette) and switched to a crosley c100 thinking I was upgrading. The tone arm is shit. I don't scratch, I just want to listen and have something that will be good to me and the records. Hard to distinguish affordable from crap as a novice!

Problem with this crap design is people keep buying it. Its the cycle. People buy garbage, manufacturers make garbage. They don't care! You buy it! Welcome to the 21st century! I work in the repair industry and this product is expensive, candy coated, crap but it sure sounds good, it looks good, and its from Rane so it must be good, right? RIGHT!? And about parts, is, don't blame repair techs when they can't find parts then charge you a pile because they had to buy entire boards. Rane, Pioneer, etc, do NOT make it easy to find a part because sometimes they just aren't listed, but we're thankful that some of you do the search for us and find out a Numark part works on Rane. I'm not taking that risk. if im wrong, guess who's paying? You... in case you didn't know. You are. And I'm not blaming you at all for being mad at that... its not my fault! But, I am not wasting my time on crap - which, unfortunately, is 98% of this stuff. So, budget twice what you pay for maintenance and like it. You'll have no choice.

Hey man. I have a ddj sx. I have distortion coming through the master and also the headphones..... But only when the cue is on and the headphone cue volume dial is turned up past around 11oclock.. but if I cut the low frequency the distortion seems to go away. Do you think it could be some bad capacitors on a board? I have traced 2 suspect looking capacitors on the soundboard area which are meant to be 25v 47uf capacitors bit they are actuslly 35v 47u capacitors, looks like someone has changed them already. Maybe they used the wrong type?

I've got a Tascam M2516 and the EQ is amazing, way better and smooth lowend boost than the EQ on my MPC or Waves plugins in my DAW. It's a very dark sound which is perfect for hiphop.

Great video. Would have been good if the ribbon cables had been clearly shown to disconnect. Iv managed to pull the whole terminal away from the motherboard, as I didn't know how fragile they were. I hope it doesn't cost the earth to repair.

The SP1200 makes you think differently when you're sampling. You listen to your records in a different way. I recently switched over to the Isla S2400 due to it's features but I still sample by setting the sample length to 2.5 seconds per sample and sample directly at 12 bit 26Khz

I think you are doing an injustice to the Rane Performer (in your title). As I'm sure they have spent some time in the build and making it better than the Rane One.

@Jrw_SB as sad as it may look. I always open my products to look at the internal parts. The outside may look premium but the running parts are cheap plastic parts. That being said, I wouldn't be too concerned if the product needs to be repaired as you can see each section has its own circuit so u won't need to swap out entire boards to fix one issue. Most controllers are designed with these scrap circuitry builds unfortunately. It's not like opening a Mac where u notice a significant difference in how internal hardware is installed.
@Jrw_SB10 күн бұрын
@@phoenix063071 Unless it's broken, you are repairing or upgrading faders it does not make sense to open up products. Each to their own.

The use of drill is cringeworthy
@HughDeLury3 күн бұрын
agreed. never use a drill for these products. molded plastic with plastite screws means you beak a standoff or strip one in .06 seconds if you have the slightest hickup and you just ruined a thing. Get a good phillips set with a #1 and #2.

Old video but. Nice beat but the drums are definitely too clean for the other aspects. The snare needs a lower sound with decreased high end and some more thickness to the kick. Let the horn cover the high end and get more bottom from the bassline. Then you would have the sound.
@djmenelyk22 күн бұрын
Same as you, I had all the three. Several times. I've chosen the EPS-16 PLUS, that's my weapon of choice, for so many reasons.. Very good & informative video and the beat is bangin' hard, that's pure EPS 13-bit dust & crunch! Yah bless my brother!! 🦁

Many many many years ago when I first started making beats, I went to the store and I told the salesman that I wanted to sample and make beats, he said "ASR-10 keyboard". I was like 😳 noooo I don't know how to play keys. I said give me the SP1200. Yearrrrrs later, A kid named Kanye West made me feel like an idiot... Jake One uses the ASR too... I wish I could go back and switch. But 🤷🏾♂

You also got to take into account that some of these new simp DJs are taking less money just for the clout. DJs can get some female attention at the clubs from staff and patrons. So the simps gonna simp, some will do it for free just for clout 😂 it's like selling beats online now... a race to the bottom. Get 50 beats for $50 😂

I have a Pioneer ddj srt 1000 that im rebuiding back that i purchased broken from guitar center for $99. it was missing the power.button source which i bought and replaced. The initial problem was the sound card which i have replaced. I couldnt find the ribbon to connect the power souce back to the main board. i rigged it with small wires purchased from microcenter but i beleive that it is causing the lack of power because it turns on and works for about 5 minutes and then just shuts off. Any help would be appreciated!!
