Tyler much respect for who you are, and many years of confident love with others and yourself. So sorry you went through what others did to you. I became exhausted with believers who wanted me healed from my sexuality. 79 soon, and very disappointed that I haven’t found a partner, and aloneness is my portion in life. My dad warned me to find someone, I was too screwed up to follow his advice. Love is love.

Organized religions are only there to control people. The basic values may sometimes look inspiring but when it starts creating fear and hatred, it becomes wrong because they always say that God is love and acceptance, but they preach the opposite. Very happy for you.

So sad to hear they feel the need to excommunicate u for expressing your love in a covenanted monogamous relationship bound in marriage. Marriage is such a beautiful thing. Love that us expressed of our authentic sexual self is such a beautiful thing. Jesus will marry us one day regardless of us being straight or gay.

But how do you deal with the fear of being thrown into hell? I was taught and I'm still afraid that I will go to hell because I'm gay. So during your journey how did you peace that you won't be in hell.

Homosexuality not only destroys mormons, it destroys catholics, and protestants as well. It's against the religion, the main frame of society and just disgusting. Just look into the back where gays were killed in Nazi Germany.

It's terrible that almost every religion condemns gay people to hate themselves, and to be hated by others. Most especially by family members who do it in the name of "love" and "concern" for the gay person. No-one chooses to be gay, and no one can stop being gay, any more than a straight person can stop being straight. Most people have at least a tiny little bit of gay in them, and for straight men, there's nothing worse than admitting that, or God forbid, acting on it and being found out. I'm happy this man was able to come to terms with his reality, and come out relatively unscathed. Beautiful, inside and out.

God has given us His beauty through you, Bryce. I know Life, His Life, by your presence, pal. That Life we share is Love and Mercy itself. His Compassion lives in you right into those you touch by your very being. You give God His due by the precious infusion of His Love that pours upon us all just because YOU ARE. From your Catholic brother, Rob. Your presence is LOVELY and you a LOVER, Bryce! Thanks, bud. Love you. You're in my prayers.

I am 75 years old and when I was 15 or 16, I told my mother and father that I was Gay and we had a pretty short conversation. I have been with my partner, Husband, love for 47 years and we still love each other very much. I'm going to tell you many things that are so far removed from any other Gay person, that some of these things you may not believe or you have never thought of them before. I am very masculine and no one has ever guessed me to be gay, not that it matters, and I have never ever hid that I was gay to anyone at all. My high school knew I was gay and I was never bullied by a single person. I was the fastest runner in my high school. I was very well liked and even some girls joked about converting me. I have never been with a female and had never thought about it, not even to hide that I was gay. I think I was maybe six or seven when I knew I was attracted to males. What got me through all this and so much more was the fact that at a very young age, I was very mature, aware of myself and aware of the world around me, I knew what was right and what was wrong for me, I was not persuaded by anything or anyone, except my parents out of respect and love. These attributes you cannot find in hardly any grown man, let alone a teenage boy. And that is what has put me through life. Never been rejected, made fun of or talked about...ever. The other thing that has kept me clear headed is that I have from my early twenties managed to avoid ignorance and I'm talking about the REAL ignorance. If I saw it or heard it, I walked or ran the other way. Ignorance in this world comes in a million different shapes, colors and brains. THERE ARE THREE FORCES IN THIS WORLD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF BILLIONS (YES, BILLIONS OF PEOPLE AND ANIMALS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME. THEY ARE RELIGION, CULTURE, AND IGNORANCE AND THEY WILL ALL BE HERE ON THIS PLANET UNTIL THE VERY LAST PERSON TAKES THEIR LAST BREATH. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS.

Antic myths and modern lies coming together to destroy the life of young people. Books don't speak, neither do Gods, men seeking power do, and it gives them power over the life of the indoctrinated many. Religion is evil!

Does any see the massive psychological coping mechanism of transfers with this guy. His family and the church abuses him and he transfers it on to his boyfriend. He says nothing bad about how his family abused him though they very clearly did. But his boyfriend is the devil. I am mean no one was is forcing this guy to be with his boyfriend.

I can sympathise with this young man, knowing that he has been subject to indoctrination by the rigid teachings of the LDS church. I am now 89 years old, but back when I was 25 I came out to my parents who then tried to pressurise me to date a "nice girl" and everything would work out. I can remember saying at the time, "what sort of a life would the girl have with me showing no sexual interest. That stopped the discussion right there! Subsequently I met a nice guy and we were in a relationship for nearly fifty years before he died. My family eventually came to accept the situation. I am grateful that my insights as a young man prevented my having to go through these agonising thought processes.

Hello Mikeum, thank you for taking us with you on your journey digesting your coming to terms with this sexuality, which I share. For moments, I wasn't sure if I could follow your reasoning, but when you wrapped it all up with this powerfull lines, I suddenly understood your place and found it completely relatable. Once, I had to talk to some non-undestanding new colleagues, about their concern of me being gay would affectig the reputation of their little group. I opened up for them a sincerity, they weren't immunized against, by saying, that I wouldn't have problems to admit my sexuality as an impairment or disability, but would never accept me being judged or excluded rightly. so for that. They asked the typical question, of why I would choose to be unnatural, if my body was normal. I replied, that from all research I had done, I wouldn't find proove, that homosexuality was unnatural. The question came back: is there anything in nature, were some are different by nature. I did not reply, that live is always a spectrum and variation is a feature of biology. I felt them immunized against this argument. So I replied: I am left handed. 5 % of all people are, and ever will be. With homosexuality it is just the same. Everything which might appear weired about homosexuality comes as consequence of the repression, not from its nature. That might be a secular version of your vision. Don't know any more. What I want to say is, that I have to watch your testimonial again, as it seem too rich to fully get it, at once. Thank you very much for sharing, and all the best to you, Hans

Hello Jake, thank you so much for your uplifting sharing of your experiences. Changing closed sytems of exclusive beliefs by having little conversations ? Yes, sure, that can cause change, little by little. Political influcence, representaiton, and so forth, might be good for something, as well. I love you saying: it feels so normal to be with your loved one. That might be the strongest impact, we can have against such systems of repression of happyness: being simply happy, fullfilled, living simply.

Thank you, Tyler. Your conclusion it powerfull: being ok, with not knowing, how live will play out. I understand, that you decided not to make your happiness depending on people, which don't care about your true self. Everything played out well for me ( i am 60 years old), better than I have thought it ever can, by allways following this same decision, to rather be on my own, than not being myself. You are beautifull. Thank you so much for being out here, to the world and sharing your experiences. Hans

Thank you for sharing your story, Justin, I have liked every piece of it. Specificly: highly reflectivce and simply genuine in the same time, not trapped in any stereotype but free to be like others, where that is your truth, speaking about disney princess feeling, just so, in a "regular guy" manner. I can relate to the many pains, you let guess you went trough, and I feel cheered up by the way you are digesting them without denying or neglecting them. I am impressed how you are out here in all vulnerability, with the maturity which will not get hurt, again, by more of the same mindless incomprehension, any more. Thank you again, thank you so much. Amazingly difficult coming out. So sorry that you were unsupported by everyone around you. I'm an old guy, 68, and my family was the opposite, all supportive. What I can share with you these 5 years after your video is that no one deserves to share your life that does not love you, as you are, unconditionally. You are brave and wonderful. I think we should all be more confident about condemning organized religion (not just Mormonism) for its unloving, ignorant and yes, quite unchristian intolerance and hatred of gay people. No, they don't "choose" to be gay, "it" chooses them. It is who they are. It is not right that a kind, gentle man such as this would ever contemplate suicide. It is high time that the Mormon President of the Church have a vision (or "whatever") that tells him God loves gay people! Why else would He have created them? Wake up and accept and love the immense gift of gay people in the world (and stop making them want to commit suicide!)

You are gorgeous and smart. I’m glad you have made a good life for yourself. You didn’t say how your parents reacted to your sex orientation nor your brothers and sisters. I hope you are still with your partner. Life isn’t easy for anyone but for gay people it is even more doubtful. I hope you are as confident now as you were when you made this video.
