I like this a lot as I’m currently studying Autumn leaves for it’s classic aspects. But you keep using the word science and I’m wondering how the mathematical relationships within chords like the fact that a third is 3/2 the frequency of the tonic and that the fifth is 5/4 the frequency of the tonic, and the fact that on a piano all of these vibrate sympathetically especially when pedaling. How does the proportionality of the chord differences register in our minds? Along with the times spans between chords and the reminders of where we’ve come from are processed and retained in the brain. Just thinking science😊.

That’s great playing but it would be better to demonstrate improvisation on an acoustic piano using let’s say a standard show tune by Gershwin, Cole Porter, or an Ellington tune, something with more challenging chord changes.

Even if I flip my phone upside down I’d have a better chance at getting this by ear, holy fuck it seems like not that hard to interpret but it’s literally flipping everything you’ve learned on it’s head. 🙃

*Just hit this lick real quick, oh but the low D is right by your D & take everything you’ve learned about guitar ever & just flip all of those shapes. Any questions?*… ☝️
