SO since it’s a compression only cylinder it doesn’t have to have a treaded piston or a pinned piston, so it should be a o-ring retaining style were you just have to pull or hit it to get the o-ring out of its retaining groove. Slide hammer works best in my experience
@billymonster19693 ай бұрын
Must have been where the smaller green seal went that came in the kit. It looks about the size to fit under their, I was scared I would break it pulling it off. The o-ring I had left over from the kit was some size as the one I used. The groove it went in was wide enough to put both in, but that didn't seem right. And only one came out that groove.
@jamesmoores12703 ай бұрын
@@billymonster1969 you put it together correctly your main seal gets a backing ring witch was the nylon split ring you put in
@jamesmoores12703 ай бұрын
That piston should have been retained by a o-ring set that locks it in just have to give it afew good wacks to get it to pop off

So...you're saying no LS swap? They are not exactly making Plymouth frames lately. If I bought an aftermarket frame, it wouldn't be original Plymouth. Brand loyalty is a strange thing to me. By the time I finish cutting and fitting this s10 frame, it will be just as much Plymouth as it is gm so not worried about it at all...

I'm about to build the same thing on a 37 Plymouth pickup. I see a TX flag, whereabouts you located? I'm in DFW, perhaps we can trade ideas...

Cool truck! Don't see many straight sixes fixed up. I got a 66 F100 with a 352 V8 that I just put headers and Purple Hornies glasspacks on. It was a tough job but it was worth it. Sounds fantastic! I had to buy the mini-starter, gear reduction, by Power Master and it only fits one way with a little grinding on block and it is adjustable. It has a solenoid switch on starter like GM and right I'm using both the stock Ford solenoid and the one on the starter. Don't know how long my two-step solenoid set-up is gonna last. And I wanted to tell you I had one of those glass fuel filters break on me while driving. Lucky I didn't burn my truck. That was back in the 80's before the Chinese made Spectre crap showed up."👍 Keep on Truckin"

The hazard switch was factory installed in the glove box in the 1967 to 1972 ford pickups. Not an add on.

I wonder if its possible to remove the rail on the op then attach a sprocket to the shaft and run it directly from the head
@billymonster19692 жыл бұрын
I think it would be possible, but would take more fabrication...the shaft doesn't turn, so the sprocket would have to attach to the drum.
@drewlinton34727 ай бұрын
@@billymonster1969 yep that's correct. I first did mine like the video's and then built a setup to turn from the drum. it took more time and customizing but in the end was a more elegant solution for me.
