True. I got into van travel as pretty much my only mode to get out and see something out of. Now I’m looking for a slightly bigger van to accommodate my needs after 2 years of putting it into practice 😊

The thing that currently holds me back from the van is finding one that’s reasonably priced. I know everyone loves their van and they put a lot of sweat equity in it, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna pay you retail for the van, Modifications, And your sweat equity at $30 an hour after you’ve lived in it for two years.

I used Hipcamp to book a stay in Goleta just north of Santa Barbara. We stayed inside an old orchid greenhouse. Unbelievable experience…

is always fun to listen to a businessman. For me, buying a van that is worth almost as much as a house or more, I find that ridiculous and to have it park on my driveway 90% of the time is like having two morgues. I bought a 19 foot trailer with a solar system and I droved this trailer everywhere without any problem. but if you can afford to buy a van go for it. just saying.

This is the best explained info review that I've seen so far. What would be the tallest / widest rim that would fit on Sprinter 2500 with Hwy tires that will probably not get off-roading ?!

The difference between Euro and America pricing is absolutely mindboggling This is a smart layout (except that somehow, its a 170" with no bath at all?) and I can really appreciate quality materials and things being well made... But the inside of this looks very very utilitarian. It looks like a van where the budget didn't cover a nice interior. Indeed rather claustrophobic. Over in Europe, this would be 100k max, if that.

They don't include 3 hose mounts, standard. You only get 2, the air intake and the hot air exhaust.

Interesting idea and product. It occurs to me that this system could do double-duty as an engine heater in cold climates for when a vehicle is engine-off for an extended period. Such as taking an overnight backpack or cross-country ski away from it. The design would have to add a circulating pump and have a by-pass around the engine thermostat. Of course, the battery and solar capacity would be major considerations.

USAA will not insure Class A motorhomes. After 25 years as a customer, I left USAA for State Farm for all my liability insurance needs and saved a fair amount of money plus got a local agent.

You can buy a second hand Winnebago Boldt right now for about $110 to $120 asking, quite a good vehicle for the price. Also lots of Revels in that range as well, just need to be sure you get one with native lithium.

Great video and content from your channel. I’m so close to diving in. Hangups: I want to use as a daily driver, and it’s just my wife and two daughters. Considering a standard roof (also not to upset the HOA too much). I saw in one of your other videos you said “friends don’t let friends buy low roof vans” lol. Having doubts about my choice. I’m 5’9 and can mostly stand in a stock crew sprinter van. Insulation, floor and ceiling likely make things smaller in a conversion. I’m honestly just stuck.

One concern I've had with insurance companies is the possibility of a denied claim for damage that happened off-road. Of course with a sprinter van I'm not doing anything crazy like rock crawling. However there's always the possibility of a crunch or, heaven forbid, a rollover while on a National Forest dirt road. Does anyone have any experience with this?

What state do you live in and did you find it cooled the van enough? I see people on FB groups state they returned it etc. I wonder if the people who don't have success just dont vent the system anywhere. THoughts?
