i do not understand how you were able to do that many km per day, this many filming with drone etc and to stop film every little train passing by hahaha. this route was literally made for you - trains and boats everywhere)) loved the last NY sequence (wish to see more of that) and the pirates of the caribbean part too <3 also, does all the group rides in van now seems lame when you can compare it with NY group rides?? loved it
@JordanVegBike3 ай бұрын
Awe luckily because it's a canal route it is sooo incredibly flat. But yeah seeing the big boat for the first time was awesome! And then eventually being able to join on the sailboat was great, too. New York definitely has an energy that is hard to get elsewhere. (I do have a longer video of just NY if you haven't seen that). But yeah I wish we had more of that energy in Vancouver. I think this summer we might get closer with some of the Critical Mass rides, we will see! Thanks again for your comment and support.

@JordanVegBike3 ай бұрын
thank you so much, glad you liked it! And I was actually looking at doing the Toronto to Montreal route then going south from Montreal to NYC. But apparently the route from MTL to NYC is nowhere near as nice as this Empire State Trail, it's basically on roads the whole time with minimal car-free sections like this.

It's so sad to see how polluted America has become, even canals down in the Florida Keys that used to have marine life now are dead zones. Hope people vote for the candidate that believes in climate change and won't cut funding for the EPA

Epic Bike Trek! Great Film guys , really enjoy taking us along for the ride!. I never forget when an amazing nomad cyclist from Syracuse in his late 60's stopped to offer me a cigarette while I was leg cramping biking only from Miami to Key West. I asked where he was headed . His response was every year when the leaves start changing I bicycle down to Key West. Wow how inspiring we can be to each other!

I toured on Haida Gwaii around June 2022. Was quite then experience. I end up taking my bike along east beach to the cape ball river which was quite an experience. I unfortunately didn't go to Renell Sound as I was a little afraid of the bears. Which is a big regret. But, what an experience on the island. Was lovely to re live it a little again. Btw you got a super clear day in Rupert, mine was very rainy and I also had quite the vomit comet getting over to Queen Charlotte.
@JordanVegBike3 ай бұрын
That sounds like quite an adventure as well! Maybe in the future and if I get a fat tire bike I'd like to do that whole coastline, the river/water crossings seem quite dramatic, though. And yeah I got so incredibly lucky with the weather, especially for late September.
@Bg5633 ай бұрын
@@JordanVegBikeI did it with 2.5inch tires on my full suspension mtb bike, haha, with them deflated down to 20psi it worked really well as the beach is so well packed. You definitely don't need a fat bike, at least on Haida Gwaii. Although, the hike a bike to get to the beach was interesting.
