Roy Keane was honest all throuh his career. The Cypan incident in the world cup people blackened him. It then came out about the corruption in the FAI involving the chairman John Delaney. I believe the substandard conditions players were exposed to was balanceing the books for John Delaneys fraudulent activity. These conditions had caused many injurys in the squad.Macarthy and Roy shuck hands a few years later, tells a story in itself. Fergie was no angel at united, ask beckham, stam, van neistelroy??

Our football panels were 2nd to none back then, the english pundits had to go rub shoulders with the players they were talking about so never spoke freely

Given how Dunphy and Keane have fallen out this is truly ironic from Dunphy. Ferguson knew Keane was beyond his usefullness to United and used the MUTV pieces as an excuse to punt him. It's really that simple.

Wow. I didnt know people in Ireland were so interested in English football. Is RTE the State broadcaster? Brilliant

A good verbal fight on TV. Talked about for weeks. High ratings. Great fun. Genuine heat, genuine passion, disagreements allowed and given opportunity. Classic Irish sporting coverage. And it wasn't alone. Rugby coverage could be just as raw and hot with George Hook doing the uppercuts. GAA coverage too could go into overdrive. It was allowed because it was truth. It's how Irish people communicate in homes and pubs. Passion, heated debate. But it's all disappeared because on the newly branded 'perfect planet of perfect love' people can't now be offended, raised voices can't be tolerated, hurtful words can't be spoken, anger can't be tolerated, truth can't be uttered, fingers can't be pointed and robust debate is outlawed as a threat to democracy.

All of the three panelists are right until it comes to Dunphy saying that Keane was the best Irish player of all time. Incorrect. Brady was the best, no question. Keane was a world class legend, so was Brady, but although Roy won more trophies than Liam, Liam had talents that Roy didn't and Roy had leadership skills that Liam could never dream of matching. Dunphy for his part, was a talker.

Dunphy sang a slightly different tune after he fell out with Roy. Also, what was his point that Keane could've left Nottm Forest for £1m but didnt, when minutes later he says it was because of a bidding war between Utd and Blackburn? Made no sense.

I would like to add my thoughts on the matter of Eamon raging at gutter tabloid jurnos lol He worked for the Sunday Independent and said that he respects Eoghan Harris as a journalist and a friend hahaha that piece of shit!!! An enemy of the Irish people, a compromised sticky turned agent of The Empire and mouthpiece of the hard right British Security Agencies in a misinformation campaign against Irish citizens in the North being violated to this day
