I came across the LOTR trilogy and the Hobbit in my secondary school library and was immediately lost in this amazing world, I distinctively remember the first and last pages of the books had a mind boggling amount of lore behind these 4 books. When my family including extended family watched the trilogy films in the cinemas. Even though many of them hadn't read any other books over the years, they all read LOTR and the hobbit - remembering fondly of such days.
