This is one of our favorite camping spots. We love taking our pups down to the beach. The beach in Two Rivers is also beautiful and dog friendly on one end. Great location to take a day trip to Algoma or Door County.

One of my favorite parks. Stayed out there a few times so far this year. Bonus part is that it is a 15 minute drive from my house.

why are the loud families attracted to the quiet camps? why can't one be in the back seat of your car without someones dog at the back of your car an then around and under by you really people?
@naturelover12843 күн бұрын
don't they have to leash dogs on the boat landing piers? I was sitting birdwatching and a large woman came and told me when you husband comes with the boat the dogs will be licking me etc... I said no and I am allergic...she needs the whole pier just like the grocery store aisle I guess

I hope people are not allowed to take the dog there like at high Cliff, how sick people. Do you take your dog for a walk at other cemeteries among the graves? Why can't a person be getting something out of their car without a dog coming from around the back and into your back door? Why is your dog near my car?

getting walked in upon as a single older woman camping with a small tent by the female camp host who should know better. People use their car to change clothes, or sit in the back after many rainy days. Yet they leave the firepit full of a dozen eggshells and butt wipes.

ya keep your screaming kid at home they can and do yell ALL DAY LONG...or take them to the bike paths and get a light for the bike. they ride in front of you, a few stop, surprised no deaths

Thanks for exploring Welcker's Point Campground. I have two questions: From your video it appears that the shoreline around Welcker's is rocky /smooth stone. Is that correct? And my second question is, do you know if you can launch a kayak or SUP from Welcker's? I know there is a launch area near Tennison Bay, but I was just curious. Thanks for your channel! It is such a great resource!
@SconnyWandering6 күн бұрын
Welcker's poi t would not be a great place to kayak. Only if you have an ocean kayak. Also, yes, very rocky

I stayed in one of the walk-in sites last summer, they are very secluded and you can see alot of stars and the Milky Way on clear nights, great birding spot too. You will have to bring your own shade as it is in a prairie and be mindful when storms and lightning come through.

Thank you for making an updated video of this park. It’s one of our favorites. We never knew there was a waterfall at quarry lake! We’ve always been there in drier years when it wasn’t apparent. It’s nice that you posted what’s changed since your last video of the park. Glad to see the shuttle road repaired. We were there during its devastation. The power of water is amazing.

have you gone to peshtigo? It seems no one is there while the other places are overcrowded. Down the road is old Jed's campground. I tried to camp there as an 18 yr old with a friend but we were accused of looking for boys, 40 years ago. So my camping was thwarted.
