Was für überaus überzeugende Interpretationen von Liedern, die man gefühlt schon einige tausend Male in großer Qualität gehört hat! Hier stimmt ja alles: Abgesehen von der sehr guten Aussprache (eigentlich eine Voraussetzung) bezwingt die kluge sprachliche Gestaltung, die hohe Musikalität (!), die dynamische Bandbreite und das schöne Timbre seiner Stimme. Und darüber hinaus ist auch die gesamte Darbietung so überzeugend und natürlich. HOFFENTLICH werden wir noch viele Lieder-Vorträge von diesem auffallend begabten Künstler hören.

Musically beautiful, as usual (with a perfect pronunciation). But I can stop asking myself if you are really, undoubtedly, absolutely a baryton. Did you definitively close the door to the possibility that you could perhaps be a tenor ?

It is best for his voice to training now as baritone and await. The full mature voice will come with age if he is a low tenor (spinto ou dramatic) or a high baritone, and since he certainly isn't a high tenor (not lyrical tenor or higher) training now as tenor could cause damage. Plácido Domingo started his training as Baritone.

Thank you for the English subtitles which helps our listening to Schubert's exquisite, sweetly rendered rural songs you sang, and always to be heard in the expressive German that the songs were originally meant for which enables us to go back in time and sit with Schubert beside his babbling stream and watermill casting a lazy appreciative eye on a busy pretty mill-maid as she works by the millstream. 🙂
