I can't even do a non weighted pistol squat so this is just EPIC! Well done man! People who criticise form are just jealous anyway!
@johzuke1Күн бұрын
Haha keep strengthening. And form is what it is. Wouldn't be possible without round back due to my leg mechanics. With this low weight it causes no harm to me anyways.
@johzuke1Күн бұрын
Tried weighted pistol squat maxes today. The pistol squat is an exercise that I do not train at all anymore. I trained it a bit many years ago but my body mechanics absolutely suck for it. Long femur and suboptimal ankle mobility makes it very hard to do it without weight and with weight the form is not optimal for actually training leg strength or any beneficial strength either. Will stick to regular front and back squats because training weighted pistol squats does not really make any sense to me. But 70kg was achieved just with training normal front squats and then just trying this. Can you beat this? #pistolsquat #frontsquat

@johzuke12 күн бұрын
You are doing wrong in that case. Many people can't gumbi for some reason. I have a good gumbi tutorial from last Autumn. Maybe it will help. The most important thing is to think about getting the leg that swings up during gumbi takeoff to up and around as fast as possible. This requires correct use of hips and timing with the hand use.

Do you have a program, a video, or a plan that shows a bit of your training to improve your tricking ability? In any case, what you do is very interesting. I have been trying for years to build a workout program to improve my power and mobility in tricking, to be much more flexible, have more power, and achieve more beautiful movements, faster spins, etc. Thank you.

hey Jozuke, if I wanted to get into strength training while training, what would you recommend for lifting vs trick sessions? Trickstrong is a great resource but I’m curious about your journey
@johzuke111 күн бұрын
Any kind of routine that has a strength approach and that pushes you enough to get the progress you are looking for (heavier weights lifted with no to little form compromise) but still allows you to train hard on your main thing, tricking. I don't have a workout plan for you, I think everyone should have it personalized to their needs. Everyone has so different strengths and weaknesses and also different styles that need different kinds of conditioning.

@@johzuke1thanks for your reply! To be clear I was asking what you were doing. Simple like, lift one day trick two days a week or so^^

Very random. Sometimes I lift 5 times per week and trick like once or twice. Sometimes I trick 5 times per week and lift once. It is just based on intuition.
