I would do coats of that primer build up and sand down twice if you want a less glossy surface like that

Wrong. You need to use REW to check the best location for sound. This is just guessing. If you’re not doing it for sound why are you doing this.

Great idea and great tutorial but the paint needs to dry a LOT longer than a few minutes. I let mine dry for days but at least 24 hours is a necessity. I realize recoat times are different but clear over top coat isn't a "recoat". The paint layer will literally never dry under the clear and your surface will be soft.
