mine wont puff up!!! they just get wrinkly and if they do sort of puff up its only one one side and it looks bad

Hi if one side is puffing up that means you're on the way to be able to do it. Keep at it! You will get it if you keep trying. Have you tried going very slowly and press as gently as you can, watching for the star to puff up rather than folding in on itself. let me know how you get on 🙂

@@OrigamiCalm i made the comment without watching the full video- i was just at the puff up part- i realized id been holding it from the back and not the edges so now my stars look a lot better :o thank you

Have you tried going very slowly? I know it's frustrating but you will do it if you keep trying. Maybe try pressing very gently and slowly with your nail in the middle between the points. Good luck you can do this!

Hello.. most paper will work as long as it's not very thin. For example, printer paper, or notepaper is fine. You can buy ready cut strips online if that's an option for you. In Europe it's inexpensive - you would search on lucky star paper. Otherwise the sort of paper which comes in school exercise books will work. Let me know how you get on!

Your fingers were kinda in the way when you were folding. I couldn't see clearly which way to fold.
