Long story short I wasn’t seeing the growth I needed to sustain posting as frequently as I was and build the car to the level I want so I’m investing my time and money elsewhere to set myself up for future. Hello, I've had my subwoofer for 1 year now. 4 days ago no start no crank, kept blowing 120a fuse on the battery fuse. Starter smelled terrible like chemicals/burnt. Replaced it under warranty, still no start and blow 120a fuse each time trying to crank. I tried to start car without alternator connected, at all. And the car started!! I went and bought new alternator yesterday. She started right up! Ran great! The LAST thing I did was re attach my Red amplifier wire to the battery fuse on the right post. My terminal only has 1 post btw. So then everything back together I go to start and boom, Dead. She wouldn't start I checked and she blew the 120a fuse AGAIN. So I bought another fuse this time it came with 2 post/studs. I left my Amp wire DISCONNECTED. And she fired up and I drove it around for the night. Seems like my sub wire is blowing my 120a fuse. Why? I have been bumping the sub for over I have been bumping the sub for over a year, what could be causing this? I checked under my rear seats and amp connections seem to be good. Today I might remove the amp 12v and inspect it. Also I have a ground NOT to the battery. Ground from amp to a bare metal near the rear seat. Any help??
@nbdxchance9010
@nbdxchance9010 2 ай бұрын
I figured it all out! I had a loose ground on my amp! Anyways I want to amplify my door speakers(deafbonce 6.5) door speakers that are underpowered. They sound good but absolutely no bass when my sub is turned off. I will be keeping my 2 channel amp for my subwoofer, my question is how did you power your door speakers thru the factory harness? Cus I have my 6.5 plugged into the factory speaker harness in the doors. But I thought amplifying them would require it to be unplugged and powered by an amplifier. Also 2 RCAs go into my amp from my head unit Would I need to buy an extra set of RCAs?

I put a sound system into my ford escape so I wouldn’t buy a nicer car, then realized that while I loved the sound system I still wanted a better car. So I completely removed the sound system and now I have a 4 channel amp, a mono amp, and a head unit with wireless CarPlay. Also bought a 350z and I’m really happy the the purchase. Planning on replacing all factory speakers and installing sub in factory location. I think I want to install the amps behind the sub if possible to maintain glove box practicality. I think the total cost should only be around $600 since I already have the big ticket items. This video is very helpful for planning things out

If you have the Bose stereo when you bought your car it’s going to be a problem. Reason being is that your going to have to splice into the speaker wires by the stock amp to run to the new 4ch amp. The rca’s from the new dash will send the signal. Front door spears while they have a grommet you can’t run new speaker wire to them. You would have to use the front speaker wires near the left rear trunk. Rear speakers are easy to just plug into the amp

Hey man. I just got a 06 legacy wagon it’s NA auto not the GT. Trying to lower car on stocks and wondering if sedan legacy and wagon legacy are the same under. As in I can get legacy coils and throw em on the wagon?
@avengednick
@avengednick 3 ай бұрын
The wagon being heavier in the rear does require more spring to support the weight, this use why you’ll see sedan and wagon specific springs. With coilover, I’d imagine you’ll just step up in spring rate. Fortune Auto helped me spec my coils for the wagon and we went with 10k front and rear. I never spec’d coils for a sedan, but I’d imagine you’d usually go a little softer in the rear. So yes and no. The coils will fit, just be mindful of spring rates.
