I did not remap it, I bought it like this from a dealer, but I don´t think it´s been remapped cause there is still a restriction on the 6:th gear at least. It goes just as fast in 5:th gear as in 6:th, but a ECU flash would probably sort that out.

@jt50tmn Depends actually. If there is a sign that indicates motorcycles are allowed, then it's no problem. But most of the bus lanes doesn't have those signs, only a few places allow this, but most cops don't care if you ride there, it's generally considered safer then riding in the que with the cars. It is a hefty fine if you get caught though. I have about 20-25 kilometers to work.

@jt50tmn It´s a bag where you can put garbage like old tile or stuff from renovating your bathroom and such. You put it in one of those bags, call the company that collects them and save yourself a trip to the dump. 🙂

I don´t ride 200+ km/h through city traffic, so if you don´t like what you see, just close the video and keep scrolling for another one, there is no need to be a dick about it. Nahh, I've learned to live with it. It's not a bike for long touring but for the stuff I ride it's usually not an issue, just need to get gas a lot. 🙂

@fanfanc.3366 I loved my Z900, which has the same engine, but the GSX-S1000 is really a fantastic bike. It grows on me more and more, and I would personally go for the Suzuki. You should try them both, preferrably back-to-back and then decide, but they are both great bikes so you won’t be disappointed either way. 😎

@MassTnT The bike has that look that you either love or hate. I never really cared for it until I saw the bike at the dealer. I think it’s a really nice bike, it handles really nice, has a lot of grunt and you can definately feel that gsx-r1000 engine when you give it gas. I wouldn’t mind having a quick-shifter but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. The more I ride it, the more I love it. How about you with your bike?

@@stockholmbiker Ciao, hi. I would say exactly the same things. To me it's a dream come true: I loved the Katana since my childhood. The style is timeless; it doesn't follow the trends. It was aactually a trendsetter in the eighties. In that sense, I would say that if you love it you will love it forever. I saw and sit on it in the EICMA event and I said: "This is it. It's my bike". I like its simplicity, without useless electronic devices and, despite the weight it feels light. I've changed the muffler and removed the original plate holder mostly to save kilos. And now it feels even lighter. What I like? 90% of the bike. What I don't like (it's just my opinion), is the way the clutch engages with that strange "Rpm assist", the front brake - the feeling is a bit filtered - I would have preferred a more direct connection with the finger. And I would have preferred a lower and shorter handlebar. it's a fast bike,... But due to the shape of the fuel tank cover, changing it is a mess and then it wouldn't match perfectly with the position of the footpegs. What I did, instead, was a a slight rotation of the handlebar towards me, to reduce that "motard" feeling I had in the beginning. So, better to get used and enjoy it for what it is. Overall, it's a great bike. 👍
