In the early 2010's there was this trend of hating on Megaman games for weird reasons and that made you "cool" or whatever and it was super cringe. While 6 was happening, Bass, Treble, and his robot masters from 7 were already built and hidden away somewhere. Another thing I enjoyed about this game was that sad musical style, as if they were saying goodbye to the Famicom/NES.

Nice video. Of all the classic Mega Man series, 6 is my favorite one. I liked the classic games. Don't get me wrong. But I feel like 6 is the most well polished and balanced game of the series. It defined many formulas from previous games, while also added features to make it more acceptable and loads of fun. The Rush Adapters were awesome, the Energy Balancer is an great addition that becomes very important for the series & the multiple branches in the level designs were genius. Combined with some of the best level designs in the series, awesome Robot Master's designs, great weapons, the difficulty; while on an easy side, still delivers some unique challenge to the platforming & such & has lesser obnoxious design moments, underrated soundtrack and the core gameplay being the same, MM6 is where I believed the series is at it's peak. Many would argue MM2, MM3 or even MM4 are the best games in the series. It's all subjective and I can understand it. But for me, MM6 is my top ranking classic Mega Man game and one of my top 10 favorite Mega Man games in general. Only behind X1, X2, X4, Zero 2, Zero 3 & Legends. Still an darn good game.
@RockinKatReviews11 күн бұрын
Agree with that take on so many levels. I always felt the series got stronger as it progressed on the nes. Just gave for so much more play style and ways to travel the game. I also think having those additional items and power ups really help ppl that are just getting into with the series w a bit more assistant for an already challenging platformer. Like E tanks you don’t have to use them you can totally just challenge yourself without them but the options are there to use the items. Def would like to hear your take on the zero series bc that’s one I still want to get into but haven’t gotten around to it

This video was a beautiful way to send off the series, despite the retrospective being finished I hope you continue to find ways to delve into the classic 6. You also perfectly captured the way I felt about SNES when it came out, it was mindblowing, the colors and sounds were a quantum leap forward and I loved playing the new games whenever I had an opportunity (I didn’t get a SNES until 1995), but NES still felt like home. You described the controls as stiff, and they certainly can be, but to me they just feel tight and somewhat more precise for certain games. Great content looking forward to seeing more. -Cast
