I am interested in sales force admin certification but also interested in getting project management certification would you say to stick to one or get both?
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 6 күн бұрын
I'd get both. A PM cert alone likely won't turn too many heads as the next question is you can PM on what platform? In projects for what technology? Etc... now combine the PM cert with a specific technology like Salesforce then you are a more niched PM when applying.

@@SalesforceForEveryone I see thank you for the response! I just applied to PMP today so I'll see if I get accepted so I can start preparing for the test. Would you say for Salesforce, start with admin and work my way up?

@@tonyrogers2118ultimately it's up to you. Get Force Certified and Focus On Force are both widely liked options for study guides. You can absolutely do it yourself without without a guide but I'd you find yourself struggling just go ahead and grab one. Otherwise just go to TalentStacker.com/now and it'll walk you through in the first 2 lessons exactly what to do in Trailhead to Diy it.

This is awesome! I would love to do a video for you guys! I joined the Career Development Program and landed my first role in 2022 and had over $50k in side freelance clients in 2023 thanks to this Career Accelerator Program. Plus I get to be a mentor on the Trailblazer Mentorship Platform too and give back. Keep it up!

I'll join soon. I was doing around 30 applications a day. I even hired a friend to apply for me while I worked. Still absolutely nothing. This is what's going on in software development. Hopefully it will be different for someone with a dev background moving into Salesforce.

@@SalesforceForEveryone You are 100% correct! I'll first do the 5 day challenge. My goal is to finish the SF Admin, SF App Builder, and SF Dev 1 certs, then use ChatGPT to "attempt" to create real-world scenarios that forces me to build out and interact with orgs. I'm currently using GPT to quiz me in similar manner that the actual test will after every Trail Head module and project to get a more granular understanding of the topics as I go through them. It's really helping to show what I know and don't know. Lastly, after all of this coupled with the 5 day challenge, if I can't get hired, my next step is to go through your program.

Hi and thank you for this video. I have a quick question if you don’t mind, I am 58 years old. I am trying to complete the transition into a new career which is salesforce and I don’t have a shred of idea what Southport is. However, I am motivated to start my certification program, put in my time, my effort and my due diligence to start a career in this new field, which is supposedly booming.I have seen videos for people say this year 2024 it’s kind of too late to get on board though can you give me some tips on that and tell me how the future of salesforce looks like

I would recommend this article which gives a fair analysis of the reality that the market has tightened but it is far from too late. Many in the tech space have it so good that they fail to realize the struggle of employment that others go through after being spoiled by huge incomes, working from home, respect for their knowledge and more. It's easy to forget you make 2-4x the average income and far more joy from your work. talentstacker.com/article/tech-layoffs-and-salesforce-job-market-demand

Hi there! I'm currently in the 5-day challenge, day 3, and I really enjoyed the feedback on entrepreneurial experience in this video. Side hustles are so prevalent today - and often a reflection of a personal passion - it would be a shame not to include them. Your suggestions make great sense! Why not show off the many hats an entrepreneur wears by getting specific about the roles you fulfill in your own business. Thanks!

We post our program statistics every month on the Talent Stacker LinkedIn Page. I'd recommend keeping an eye out there. The market is tighter in 2023 and 2024 than it as been since 2020 however we are seeing more success with jobs being landed with our members than ever before. I believe this is because those that stay focused right now are landing all of the jobs while others are looking around wondering what to do.

@@marcosmarcal7200 Oh no, nothing to do with AI, AI has been a bust compared to what people expected at this point. It's mainly with super high interest rates, companies can't invest as much to expand right now. Consumers and companies are pinched for cash and have to make smarter choices with their hiring.

That's 100% true, in fact it never really worked even in the best times to just have a cert. Over the past 5-7 years the formula has been: Certification + LinkedIn/Resume + Networking + Hands on Experience (even unpaid) + Interview Prep = Job Landed

When you mentioned automation issues for formulas, do you have to be good at math to manage this part? I am not good with math.
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone Ай бұрын
I wouldn't say you need to be good at math. You do need to understand what the formula does of course. I would also say be open minded to the idea that you might actually be perfectly fine with math but you've been told, or told yourself that you're not good at it just because of some limiting experience with an outdated learning process or an environment that didn't enable you to learn in a way that aligned with you. Either way, you absolutely have the ability to learn and you will do just fine with formulas. Plus with the help of ChatGPT the Salesforce community groups etc... you'll always be a chat forum or GPT chat away from all the help you need.
