I always change into a Tom boy look during travel. It’s easier to handle luggage but also not becoming an easy target. However, I purposely hang a plushy on my get home bag and temporary bug out bag (let’s say a bad flooding in a certain area and you need to temporarily leave your home) to become ‘grey’. In my opinion, at the beginning of an incident is better to be grey, especially when you’re living in a city. I feel like people are less likely to rub you because your backpack looks useless. 😂😂😂

Surgical glue is very good for surface cuts. Had a small head wound and it was glued up quickly by a nurse. Easy to use. Does away with the need for stiches.

I have sutured my left arm without anesthetic. Sliced my forearm on sharp metal and there was a 5 cm flap down to the muscle. Cleaned it well but it kept oozing. If you can get the flap down, it will seal up much faster. Hurt like any needle poke. The problem was tying the suture. I actually had to have a friend tie it. She did well. Single stitch. Saved me 4 hours of ER time. I’m a MD so I’ve done a fair amount of suturing. Felt a bit like Rambo, but with proper materials.
