Thank you so much for the video and recommending Bar Keepers Friend. My sink was in exactly the same state. With a little elbow grease it worked as in your presentation. Guy UK.😀

Sorry to hear about the damage from Debbie, she packed a punch to SWFL. Hopefully you didn't have more damage besides the two fence panels. If the panels aren't broken then it might be possible to put them back in place.

Hi thanks for your review! quick question about pet hair, can this product work collect pet hair?
@DIYCrasher
@DIYCrasher 18 күн бұрын
Good question. I'm not entirely sure since I don't have a pet so I don't know if it will. I would think if the pet hair is floating at the surface then it should pick it up but it's hard to say. Maybe check the Amazon reviews and see if any of them mention about pet hair.

Just bought mine and doing some follow up research. So, quick question... did you have any problems with it getting stuck in the side skimmer?
@DIYCrasher
@DIYCrasher 20 күн бұрын
No I have not had that problem at all. I did read in the manual that it suggests taking a pool noodle and cut it to the opening of the skimmer inlet to help prevent it from getting stuck. The pool noodle would essentially act as a bumper. Hope that helps. Since posting the video I have become more pleased with its performance of collecting debris off the surface.

@DIYCrasher Thank you for the response. So it's in the water and running. I have this one section about 10'x15' that debris seems to get past the skimmer and collect in. It's doing pretty well in that area as I can see the reduction. It did get stuck at the skimmer once opening once, but it's running at 100% right now. Thanks for the noodle tip! 🍻

How is it on small debris? Lint efc
@arthurcombs5032
@arthurcombs5032 6 күн бұрын
The 10'x15' "debris field" created by two inlet jets is perfectly clean. I absolutely love it so far! It does still get stuck at the side skimmer when the pump is running at 100% power if the pool noodle gets knocked loose. I just got back from camping today and bought a new full length pool noodle to see if that will remedy the situation. The one I was using had been cut in half so we'll see if that makes a difference. Let me add that it getting stuck at the skimmer opening IS NOT A DESIGN FLAW!!! The 3 hp pump motor is doing its job.
@arthurcombs5032
@arthurcombs5032 6 күн бұрын
@HabibiGolf It has a fine mesh filter that catches all the very small debris. Between the side skimmer and the Betta do not see any type of film on the surface.

Hey, People! If you are going insane trying to loosen that gigantic 3-inch plastic nut, and you don’t want to spend $30 on a new wrench, I discovered an easy workaround. Just find a “normal“ pair of pliers and use the HANDLES to squeeze the nut and give it a twist. Works great, especially if the handles are rubberized.

@DIYCrasher

I'm not sure if it will work on a faucet, you might want to try it on a small inconspicuous area to see if it works. If the faucet is chrome finish it might not work and the product might leave it scratched so be careful trying it.

I put all the ingredients except the Dawn in a 5 gallon bucket to stir it up. Then pour it into my sprayer and add the soap. The battery sprayer when it is pressurized will mix the soap.

Haha... Thanks for your comment. A couple days after posting this video there was a thunder storm, I checked it the next morning and was amazed at all the stuff it picked up overnight. It was probably 4x the amount that was shown in the video. Good luck with the meeting with the war department. I'm definitely happy with it. 😎

Nice work. Only suggestion I would make is that you should have used the plastic cartridge you bought initially. Even though it doesn’t look like it Moen brass and plastic cartridges are interchangeable. The brass model you used in the video is known for getting stuck in the valve body so that’s why the plastic version is better.

Is there a reason you chose to attach the sale below the roof as opposed to over the top?
@DIYCrasher
@DIYCrasher 2 ай бұрын
It was mounted this way so it would be easier to remove for any tropical storms or hurricanes. Another reason if it were to just be on top of the pergola it would wear out the fabric quickly as it would constantly rub on the wood with any wind.

Aiper did not stand by their product. My Seagull broke after 8 months. Aiper took three months to replace, and the replacement unit broke after 2 months, which Aiper now says is out of the warranty period. Do NOT buy Aiper products!

This video is excellent! I am still petrified about replacing the inside mechanisms but at this point, even turning the water off at the base of the toilet is not stopping the constant stream. Worst comes to worst, a real plumber can fix any mistakes I make, right? Oof.
@DIYCrasher
@DIYCrasher 3 ай бұрын
When you turn off the water to the toilet you want to be sure there there's not water coming into the tank from the fill valve, if there is then that means the shutoff valve should be replaced as it's not stopping water from going into the tank. First test it by shutting off the water then flush the toilet to be sure the tank doesn't fill back up. If it does, then you will need to shut the water off at the main valve to your home. Otherwise take your time and follow the steps and be sure to have the tools to make the job easier and you can do it. As you said if you run into a problem you can't solve then call a plumber. Good luck!

And what steps do you take if there is a super slow drip?
@DIYCrasher
@DIYCrasher 5 ай бұрын
You need to determine where the drip is coming from. Assuming the slow drip is going into the bowl? It's one of 3 things. Flapper, Fill valve overflow tube or the tank gasket. I would first replace the flapper since that is usually the thing that goes bad first and see if that solves the problem. The flapper is the easiest thing to replace.
