He almost reminds one of that wealthy spinster listed in the Guinness Book of World Records many years ago - I think her name was Hetty Green - who ate cold oatmeal and nothing else every day and was so appaulingly cheap that she refused to pay for the medical care her son desperately needed and as a result, he tragically had to have one of his legs amputated!
